We stayed at the Fairfield Inn for 3 nights and would have liked to stay for our entire visit but it was booked full.
We had a non smoking room on the first floor (128) and it was such a pleasant stay. The room had high ceilings and the colors made it look very spacious. I love the bell shaped showerhead (Anystream) and the bathroom was huge as well. Regarding toiletry items, just ask and you shall receive. I forgot lotion and the hotel had this really great smelling lemongrass sage body lotion from bath and body works. : )
The hotel staff is super friendly and there is free breakfast in the mornings. The waffles are mediocre but you can make your own hot breakfast sandwiches. There is no restaurant on site but you can get take out menus from the front desk.
One evening I even found cookies at the front desk! lol.
I definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are in the area.
It's driving distance to all the restaurants and shopping in the area.

Our second stay at this hotel, we had a Executive King Room on the 2nd floor. The ceiling wasn't as high as the room on the 1st floor but the room was bigger and even had an extra loveseat. There was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room.
Again, a speedy check-in with wonderful staff. You definitely feel welcomed in this hotel.

We checked in and didn't even stay the night.
All the non-smoking rooms were booked so I brought cleaning supplies and my own OUST fan to the smoking room. After cleaning the room for an hour, it still smelled like cigarettes and urine. AC was not strong enough to cool the room. Linens were still filthy!
We ended up paying for a night's stay just to leave the hotel after we cleaned their room.
Don't waste your time in this place.
Do your research or pay extra lol.

I can't guarantee that they are good for you, but these donuts sure are yummy. Lots of choices, check out the production line through the glass windows. Cute place to visit.

I went there to purchase some Chinese dumplings and I must say that they did carry the brand I like so I can't complain about that. They have a large frozen food section. They do sell Chinese veggies and have a fresh fish market in site. And they do have a large variety of snacks and other Asian food items.
The negatives about this place:
1. Vitasoy is way overpriced at $3.79 per six pack.
2. I wished they carried more brands of soymilk.
3. Bakery is pricey.
4. The fresh tofu-fah (tofu dessert) was not worth $2 for a small container.

I was missing dim sum from home so we drove to Neo-China this morning.
Overall, the food was decent. But I have to say that the service was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. There was sufficient parking.
The best dish was the beef chow fun, followed by the Chive dumplings. I have to say that I was not impressed with the egg tarts. The crust was horrible. Everything else was mediocre.
I would like to add that the worst dim sum dishes in NYC tastes better than the best dishes in Neo China.
The dim sum costs $3.25 per dish which is pretty pricey for NC standards.
The classical music was pretty distracting and the restaurant lacked the hustle and bustle of dim sum places.
I'd probably go back if I was craving dim sum.

I definitely think the Oriental Market has a pretty good selection of Korean foods. They sell kimchi which I think is the only kimchi you can get around here in Jacksonville. And they sell all sorts of noodles.
Their prices are pretty decent. I used to load up on Korean food in NYC and drive down with a car load. But now, I can use that space and purchase more veggies and fresh fruits from back home and just buy all the little stuff down here.
I do enjoy going to the store because they sell all sorts of weird things as well. lol. Mink blankets and carpets! cool.
If they could improve on one more thing, I would recommend more Chinese groceries and products. They carry all other Asian foods though.

Dr. Jeffrey W. Wright, MD
A Maternal & Fetal Medicine Doctor and Obstetrician & Gynecologist in Jacksonville, North Carolina (NC)
I feel compelled to write a review for Dr. Wright. I'm pregnant with my first child and I have a high risk pregnancy because of hyperthyroidism.
I was referred to Dr. Wright from the Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital and I'm really lucky to get him.
He's really patient and takes his time with you. He's friendly and respectful. Him and his staff make you feel very comfortable.

Michaelangelo's comes pretty close.
I really like their pizza because it has a thin crust. It's pretty good and they have big slices.
My only criticism is that the pizza isn't consistent in taste. Most of the time it tastes great but I've had it a few times where it's dry and the cheese is barely there.
They definitely don't put many mushrooms on their slice. I think I could count the bits and pieces on my hand.
But this doesn't stop me from returning because it's the best in Jacksonville, when it comes to smaller family owned places.

Moving from NYC, I really missed Chinese food and while this is just take out... their General Tso's chicken and Beef Lo Mein are just really yummy, and definitely compares to take outs back home.

Stayed there earlier this year. I like this place, but I think the price is a bit steep.
