I agree that these are some of the best burgers around. I am a HUGE fan of the veggie burger as well as the bacon burgers (did you see that huge stack of bacon?) and the whole chicken breast sandwiches are awesome as well. These along with the tasty fries (plenty) and onion rings (you don't get enough of these) and tasty shakes like the Creamsicle flavor and I'm in heaven. I've gotta stay away from the shakes but splitting a fry with someone and having a burger is a good way to go. Lower cal/fat option for a shake is to stop by Starbucks next door and get a frap.
When I had stopped eating meat for 9 years Red Mill gave me my fix with their veggie burgers, which I still consider one of the top in the city. The other option is the black bean burger at 74th Street Ale House just up off Greenwood from the Phinney Red Mill location. MMMMmmmmmmmm.....
Oh, yeah, keep in mind they are closed on Mondays.

If you haven't tried Sambar next to Le Gourmand you are missing out on a very hip little bar... and I mean little! It's a converted apartment that now houses the fabulous cocktail purveyors and their fabulous, mod bar. While the Le Gourmand side still has the stylings of a French countryside manor you'll be brought back to today as you sip the fresh drinks brought to you by bartenders like Jay.
In the summer the outdoor seating area doubles the amount of seating available for Sambar. The bar menu is full of delectable items to savor and the chef at Le Gourmand (they share a kitchen) makes even french fries (Pomme Frites!) a gourmet treat.
We just hit Sambar again on Tuesday of this week (Nov 21st) and it was heaven as usual. Tasty morsels such as cauliflower soup, artisan cheeses, pomme frites, and several other bar menu items came in succession to fill our tummies as we sipped on the flavorful cocktails and we happily munched our way through them all. At the end of the evening we ordered several chocolate type desserts: profiteroles, chocolate mousse, and truffles. YUM!!!! Well worth it.

Kate has an excellent portfolio of photography and while in Seattle she may be mostly known for her work with food - for restaurants, food magazines and the like - she also has a gift for great professional shots. After reviewing many photographers in 2003 when I was first getting into the real estate business it was important for me to stay away from the glamour shots that some agents put on their marketing materials. Heck, I agonized just over the idea of putting my photo on anything since my corporate background had never involved this type of practice when ordering business cards.
Anyway, Kate's work and her sense of humor are what stood out and the decision was made to go with her services. I've been pleased with it ever since and I hope to use her services even more in the future both for my professional shots for my personal photos (marketing materials, etc) and to utilize her skills for my client's homes when we need to make sure pro shots are taken to help sell. Lucky for me Kate also has experience with architectural work as well.

John is in independent owner of his real estate inspection firm and he does a great job for his clients. I work with both investor and residential clients and John has done the majority of the inspections for transactions that my clients get involved in. His reports are comprehensive and provide excellent detail - including digital photos embedded into the reports - which is quite helpful when negotiating the elements of an inspection once it has been completed. All properties have some kind of work that they need done and John does a great job of helping sort out those items.
I also like his flexibility and reasonable pricing. There was an eastside firm I used for a while before meeting John and they were more rigid on when they could be available. For clients that only have weekends available to them to complete these aspects of a purchase it's important to be available on their schedule. John is usually able to accommodate - the only time he can't is when he's already booked with other clients. All in all, he's great to do business with!

I've been seeing Katie for my fine and curly hair for many years now. You'll see in my photo though that she does a fabulous job of blowing out my hair to a straight style that I absolutely LOVE! As a local real estate agent in Seattle my photos is on my business cards and my website and I get compliments all the time from this photo - kudos to my professional photographer Kate Baldwin as well.
One of the reasons I love Katie is that she actually takes the time to show me the techniques that she uses on my hair so I can look good outside of my salon appointments as well. She's got a great personality too so it's fun to come see her. Her previous gig was at Habitude in Ballard and now she is an independent. I've recommended her to many people and will continue to do so.
