Another option if you'd rather be in Belltown than Queen Anne is the Frontier Room. Frontier Room is a BBQ kind of place and the heavier fare may work well for your crowd if bars are your follow up action for the night. There is a section in the back that is a huge table (made out of one tree) that would accommodate your whole crew. There is a lively bar there and you'd be close to all of the Belltown bars and clubs of which there are pretty much too many to mention here.
The good part of being in Belltown is that everything is close and depending on when you get there the parking may not be too bad. If you cab down you can pretty much walk to everything and then cab it home so it makes for a much safer evening for everyone. If you're out late enough and you need late night eats you can always pick up a hot dog at the corner stand too.

A few of the nearby bars: Tini Bigs (focus on BIG martinis), Ten, McMenamins (sp?), Ozzies (karaoke every night and it's a huge bar) and many more on south slope of Queen Anne.

In my real estate work I see a lot of lighting and I recently worked with a client that did a beautiful remodel of a mid-century home. They updated the lighting and they were able to do it pretty inexpensively by purchasing the lights from IKEA. Granted, not all of the lighting is great because some are a little tacky but they do have a pretty darn good selection overall.
There are some other expensive options if you go to the downtown furniture and design core of Western Ave. Occasionally you'll find some decent modern lighting at one of the big box retailers like Lowe's and Home Depot but it's harder to find in store. The online version of these retailers have so many lighting options you'll go nuts trying to narrow them down.

A friend/neighbor of mine owns this business, more at the following:
http://seatoskyrentals.com/ There are typically several short stay rentals to choose from with choices from houses, parts of houses, and condos. Most of the listings have photos because Michelle Acquavella (the owner) is a licensed real estate/property manager so she does this as a pro and includes photos and good descriptions. There are also added services that she does that are highlighted on the site.
I have frequently recommended her service to people I know coming in from out of town and/or to my own real estate clients that are coming in to stay for a week to a month or two while they search for a house or condo to buy.

The ladies that own this place aren't known for their pleasant demeanors. I live in the area and after a couple of times having bad service I decided it wasn't worth the cheap eats to go there anymore. I was even more dismayed when I learned that when residential neighbors complained about noise that the women that own this joint actually physically threatened their neighbors. They've also done a fine job of pissing off the owner of the Red Mill Burgers across the street so that they now block off their parking lot at night to prevent their patrons from parking there - which it is their lot and they can decide who does and doesn't park there even when their own business is closed after 9pm.
I've found over time that the people that mostly hang out at EC are their friends and that does cause most of the problems with service. Could it be that the owners decided it was easier to open a restaurant where they could just charge their friends for the chance to party with them?

Dustin Stewart is the owner of this business and he is a really sweet and overall good guy. I've been using his services for my real estate business for a couple of years now. When I list houses for clients I always offer 3 main services as part of my work in prepping the home: 4-hours of house cleaning (TKO Services), a window cleaning (inside and out) by A Pane in the Glass, and lawn maintenance (Key Chao) during the listing period. The window cleaning services done by Dustin's firm are excellent. He is good about showing up when scheduled and he takes a lot of pride in his work, usually going the extra mile without being asked.
The summer time is when he's most booked up, usually anywhere up to 3 weeks in advance, but he is worth the wait. Dustin has also done the annual cleaning on my home for the past several years which is how I met him initially. Previous firms didn't impress me and I've kept working with him and now I like to give him additional business as well because I like his work and his ethics.

I got turned on to this place by one of my neighbors who also happens to be my massage therapist. I've come to love this joint partly because of my fondess for chicken pot pie (since childhood) and because it is so easy on the pocketbook. It's a reasonably priced place to go and get a satisfying meal. I'm personally a big fan of the standard chicken pot pie in the version of a "pot pie float" meaning that they put it floating in with a bit of split pea soup even though pot pies don't really "float." These tasty morsels with a lovely pint of good ale is wonderful for the soul after a long day.
I'm hoping they'll open one of these places closer to me on Phinney Ridge but even if they don't I'll venture to the other side of Greenlake to eat these yummy pies.
Oh, as for flavors there are several chicken varieties, a number of beef flavors (one or two of these I wasn't a fan of the sauces in them), and I believe they also have a veggie version. Now that I'm writing about them again I've put this on my calendar to go there again SOON!!!! I'm hungry!!!!
I've occasionally had less than stellar service (slow but not rude) but I'm willing to go for the food regardless.

I've been doing business with Foster + Company for several years now and I've recommended them to many of my real estate clients. In particular, I have come to know Rick Mangan very well as well as one of the owners, Courtney Foster. Walking into their offices is a little like walking into a small software firm because a lot of games abound in their open areas - like ping pong, fighting robots, and more. While the atmosphere may be low key the professionalism is still evident when you're working with the staff. Foster + Co, along with other professionals, has done an annual speaking engagement for my clients to give updates on how the latest IRS rules might impact their investments and tax returns for that year.
Their lowkey approach may not be for everyone but they are a good crew of people.

I have several relationships with various GSB attorneys. In particular, I work frequently with Berrie Martinis - she is my business attorney and I also have used Tim Burkart, an estate planning attorney. These two from the Seattle office are wonderful to work with and are very personable. I've had no problems with referring them to clients and friends in the past and I certainly plan to do so more in the future.
Another great attorney from this firm is Rick Baroway from the Portland office. He's a good personal friend and he has also done some work for me as well.
