I wrote an earlier post about Katie and you should check her out. She does specialize in color so she'd be worth a call. I've been going to her for years for my cut (I love my color) but I know her client following is mostly from those getting color done.

I don't mind paying the prices for good merchandise but I have to say that I found the staff at Bliss lacking when I was there. It seemed that they were more interested in selling me as much stuff as possible rather than being honest about fit and appropriate styles.
Case in point... I just sent to Goodwill a shirt that I paid too much for and never wore along with a skirt that I couldn't stop asking myself, "what was I thinking?" when I saw it on later. My bad for not taking it right back but I have shunned the shop for some time now because I am not a fan of places that push merchandise rather than thinking about building a long term relationship with a client. It's unfortunate that more shops aren't providing exceptional service nowadays to win back repeat business.

I am in absolute agreement with Dan L here on the fabulous-ness that is Jones BBQ. This is truly a place to eat yourself into a BBQ frenzy and to enjoy the sated BBQ induced coma that follows. Not only does their BBQ have a consistent quality they also have excellent side dishes and desserts. I am personally a huge fan of the sweet potato pie. YUM!!!!!
Here is a short list of the tasty offerings that we usually order when there...
Pulled Pork
ribs
rib tips
hot links
half chicken
coleslaw - very tasty!
baked beans
Many times we'll order a BBQ sandwich of some sort for lunch and then we'll order a combination order to go so we can munch on Jones all week long. It's great because during the day you'll be thinking about those leftovers in the fridge and it makes the end of the day worth it when you can get your fingers messy again munching down some ribs.
Augh! I'm getting hungry just writing this review and thinking about the food at Jones!!!!
There will be some that believe Dixie's BBQ is better but I really think it comes down to the type of BBQ sauce you like. My partner, Michael, is pretty much an afficianado of BBQ and can name off the styles of BBQ like some people do with fine wine. He would say that these folks are not like the Carolina vinegar based sauces like those at Dixie's (specifically like "The Man"). Plus, you don't get anything quite as hot as "The Man" at Jones although you do want to be careful as the days go by on their hottest version of BBQ sauce as it does get spicier over time.
If you don't want any hot-ness in your BBQ stick with mild but if you want to tempt fate or start building your hot tolerance move on up to the medium. If you love the sauce you can also buy some to take home. I've got some at home along with the other 10 flavors we keep around for grilling and this is still my general favorite.

The owners at RAIN have been in business coming up on 2 years now and I am a huge fan. Takashi and Jenny are the two you'll usually see behind the sushi bar and they are both very good at what they do - they met and became friends while working together at Wasabi Bistro years ago, along with Billy Beach (a former RAIN partner). Billy has moved on to another sushi joint but RAIN is still as good as ever. You can see a roll they created for a catering function they did for me a year ago on my list of photos. Every time I see this photo it makes me hungry. Takashi took the photo after making this dish and forwarded it to me via his cell phone.
One of the things I like best is that they will do your traditional fare but they also like to mix it up a bit and they do some interesting combinations for the rolls. Jenny is the brains behind many of these fun and tasty morsels - including several that are deep fried. It sounds bizarre but it tastes soooooo goooooood!!!!
I am a big fan of sashimi over anything else and they do a fabulous chef's choice platter and there is also a spicy sashimi platter as well. The other menu items are also yummy - I've had tasty beef and chicken dishes as well as vegetarian food items such as a roasted squash ravioli like dish that I fell in love with when it was on a fall seasonal menu. The spicy crab soup is also wonderful.
It's easy to find on 45th in Wallingford just west of the big silver Taco Time and before the wedding shop on the north side of the road.

Going to Jock N Jill is a good first step since they do a good job of checking whether or not you pronate or have any other quirk in your running step. I wouldn't focus so much on brand as I would getting a good fit. If you go down to the shop it would be a good idea to also wear the shoes that you may have been using up till now so they can see the wear on the sold or shape of the shoe.
I've been getting my running shoes at Jock N Jill for about 15 years and have been happy with the results. Yeah, the prices are higher than Big 5 but the quality is definitely there. My sad day with their store was when they stopped carrying volleyball shoes because they carried the best ones in town up till then.

You might consider trying one of the above named tours that Rick Steve's organization puts on. They are a locally based tour company having their main offices in Edmonds. The first time I was introduced to this travel group was about 13 years ago and at the beginning I hadn't known they were local - Rick Steves is well regarded for his attempts to find local flavor in all kinds of European locales rather than doing the typical tour.
The majority of his books are focused for the independent traveler but they also do tours of varying lengths. These are wonderful options for those not willing or comfortable traveling alone. Check out the link for their business: http://www.ricksteves.com/
I've used the ETBD books for travel to the following countries myself and found them very useful: Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, UK, Germany, Greece and Austria. Many of these places I've been to more than once and I still would refer back to the ETBD for updates and places I hadn't been able to go to the trip previous. Enjoy and have fun traveling!!!!

Key has done the lawn maintenance on many of my real estate listings as well as done work on my own property. He is reasonable in price and he is good about completing the work. I've worked with him since roughly spring of 1999.
He has a couple of employees that help him and they do strictly maintenance. They are capable of some installation work (not fences or walls) but he is not a landscape designer. If you want that kind of help you should choose a different kind of professional. I do have a woman that can do design and maintenance if you are interested. Just send me an email.
I don't know where your location is specifically but I've had Key in a lot of Seattle neighborhoods as well as out on the Eastside and up north.

I have been taking my cats and dogs to this place for years. I wrote a separate review for them before on this space as well. Dr. Jeb Mortimer is really great so you can ask for him directly but I do like all of the vets at this clinic even though I've heard others say that they found a few a bit stiff. Some of it is generational, I think, but it all depends on your comfort level.
The vet nursing staff are also really great. I've never had a bad experience with them even though there have been times I've had to be there under stressful and sad circumstances.

You'll pretty much find that almost all people in construction are slammed in the summer but it still doesn't hurt to call and see if you can be put in between jobs. Sometimes there are occasions where a short window will open and a contractor will want to fill the time with paying work.
I've worked with POP Electric several times for various real estate clients of mine - both residential and investors. The owner's name is Chris and it might help if you let him know I referred you. Your description of a "small remodel" doesn't give much detail on what you really need but I'm sure if you contact them you can work those details out.
Good luck with your remodel!

I'm a big fan of catching shows (I assume the question was for music and not plays) at the Showbox. There is enough space to not feel too crushed by crowds if you don't want to, and I don't, but it's a smaller venue than a big arena so it's hard to not get a good view of the show.
The other good thing is that there are 2 large bars so it's easier to get drinks before and during the show. Most people adhere to good behavior too so there isn't a lot of cutting or shoving around while waiting to buy a beverage.
On the downside I wish they had more bathroom space - it would be great if they could put bathrooms on both sides of the building so there wasn't as much traffic milling about during the shows. The other bathroom issue is that it doesn't seem to be monitored during the shows very much and it can get pretty filthy very quickly if the people attending the show aren't very good about picking up after themselves - a bad human habit that is a little too common at our local bars and show venues.
