Don't bother going to Tom's restaurant on Sundays since they are closed then and lunch time the lines around the block are no joke. The food however is worth it. The times I've been here the food has always met my expectations and then some. Try the burgers or the pancakes. They are delicious. So are the crab cakes. I also enjoy the history of the place. They have been open since the 1930's

Yum Yum Bangkok is a nice thai restaurant on restaurant in Manhattan that has very delicious spicy food that sits well in your stomach. I often go with friends on my lunch break since its nearby my office. It can get a little loud at lunch but they recently expanded the restaurant so its much larger so theres' more room to sit. The meals are also very good. I recomment the spicy chicken. You can have a very good meal for under $10 there.

Every summer I grab my family, load the car and head over to Staten Island for Ralph's Ice Cream. One of Staten Island's best kept secrets Ralph's ice cream is so good they are only open in the summer season. There's no place to sit so people usually hang around in the front or in the parking lot nearby. Ralph's has delicious ice cream flavors such as Rocky Road, Butter Pecan, Pistacchio and they also have frozen yogurt.

Frankies is a hot late night hot spot with some of the hottest dinners and desserts in the city. Everything from the antipasi to the cured meats is made with organic ingredients and the most you pay for any meal is eighteen bucks. I came with some friends awhile ago and we had a great time. The atmosphere was lively and energetic and the decor has that warm yet modern feel to it.

One of my favorite pasttimes is trying out new restaurants. So imagine to my surprise when I found out about this little know east village restaurant called Knife & Fork. The outside looked like a page out of Italy past and the restaurant had a charming name. Already to a good start. My wife and I go inside and we get seated fairly quickly. When we look at the menu we and find food that doesn't cost a fortune. The food we order (chicken & salmon respectively) came in a timely manner and was delicious I might add. The staff was very courteous as well. Give it time and I believe this place will become so well known that getting a table won't be as easy as it was the other day.

I can admit it. I have a strong love of cheese. Don't ask me why. Which is why I am forever grateful to a friend of mine for letting me know about this little store in the village. What a wonderful selection they have. They have Goat cheese, mozzarella, creme fraiche the list goes on and on. Some of the cheeses can get pricey but I find a little charm and a smile goes a long way in the free samples department. Sure the store is small and tends to get crowded but the cheese really is worth it.

At least once a week I make it my business to stop by Fashion Soup for lunch. I try to go around a little after 1pm to avoid the lunch hour crowd. The store is very small and the lines are often very long. The soups are wonderful. I can't get enough of morrocan soup. I also like the staff since they are always so friendly and polite. The few times Fashion Soup is empty you can sit on the counter, read a few magazines and drink the ice cold water sitting in a pitcher nearby. I also enjoy the empanadas. The columbian is my favorite as well as the guacamole. The prices are good too.
