Little Pie is this great bakery in the city that makes these delicious pies and cakes in different flavors. My company uses them for special occassions and while the cakes can be pretty pricey when you are biting down on a slice of lemon pie you really won't care too much. Life is too short to be spent not eating a good slice of lemon pie.

I enjoy eating pizza at Di Fara's. It's very tasty and crispy. They make these pizzas that are very large and round with lots of sauce and cheese. I'm not too crazy about the wait time. It sometimes takes as long as an hour waiting for a pie but if you have time to kill it's worth the wait.

When you head over to Di Palo's make sure it's early in the morning. By lunch it's packed. On the weekends if you can move an elbow in the store it's a miracle. They sell some wonderful italian cheeses, oils, noodles and other italian foods. I enjoy coming in here and buying ingredients for a home cooked italian meal.

Staten Island is not know for their pizza but Denino's Pizzeria is one of the exceptions. They make delicious pizza where the crust is crispy but not burnt, the cheese is saucy and flavorful and you can pick up a slice that doesn't fold over and pour grease on you. One of the better slices on the island if I say so myself.

When it's hot outside and I have a craving for an Ice then I head over to the Lemon Ice King of Corona. They have some of the best flavors in the tri state area. I recommend the watermelon and the peanut butter. The decor is reminiscient of the 1960's era and I like nothing better than to buy a slushy ice and stand outside in the shade.

The favorite American staple is a Bacon and Cheeseburger and fries. If you want a really good one then I recommend it the Corner Biestro in Manhattan. They make great burgers, chilis and fries. The crowds are fairly large and the place has great atmosphere. I often go with friends when I'm in the mood in for a really good burger. Great food and great prices.

Dukes restaurant is more of a diner than an actual restaurant. It's fairly large and you there are tables you can sit down inside. If you often enough the staff will get to know what food you want without you even having to ask. Plus they are very fast. Whenever I am in a rush they make my breakfast and/or lunch in a hurry. They also have a buffet but it's pricey so I would stick with the lunch menu.

If you're looking to sit down and eat lunch at Dumpling House that's not going to happen. The Dumpling house is less a restaurant and more a tiny stall with delicious dumplings. There are lines at lunch but I love getting my dumplings here when I can. They come wrapped in wax paper and they only cost $1.50. I love to come here, get a bunch of dumplings and then sit down somewhere outside in the summer time eating my lunch and watching the people pass by.

I enjoy eating Thai food. That is why when I'm in the neighborhood I try to stop by. The thai dishes are delicious such as the noodles or spicy chicken. The owners have recently enlarged the place so now that they do more business it get packed more so it's harder to get a seat. The food is worth the crowding though and you can have a good meal for under $10 dollars.

For around ten dollars you can get a bag full of shrimp and other fishy food.Not bad when you are on a budget. It can get crowded but I don't mind too much. The place is friendly and I like the 1950's feel. Makes me feel like I've entered a time warp. That and i enjoy shrimp.
