They are rated at the top on Citysearch Triangle ( http://triangle.citysearch.com ) . The Patty cake is a must for chocolate lovers. They have always been able to do substitutions without any extra charge. I had the roasted chicken and they were able to substitute the mashed potatoes for fries, no extra charge. It gets busy at times, but service has been great, and polite. Remember to make reservations! I came once and was there before they opened and they already had a line! Try to fried whole oysters on the appetizer list, it is great. Only downside is that is it hard to get it and hard to find parking. The prices are good not cheap and in some cases a little expensive compared to other places. I have typically ordered off the daily specials menu.

After having a truly horrific experience with doctors in the Raleigh area, I found a practice with Doctors who not only care but are knowledgeable. My first doctor here was Sandra Thananart. Her and her nurse always returned my calls, listened to me while I was in their office, and gave me a truly positive experience in dealing with medical professionals. At this time I recently found that I was diabetic. She was upfront that she did not have specialized training with diabetics. She directed me to the Raleigh Endocrine Associates (Read Review). She left about a year ago to another State, and was replaced with Christina Crater who is just as good. C.C. has experience with diabetics and has been great. She spends the time she is with me, listening to my issues and not rushing me out. My husband (good cop-bad cop) comes with me to Dr. appointments and we both agreed she was excellent. The practice has been good with keeping the appointments of patients, Once I was kept waiting for 30 minutes (they took in an urgent case, non ER). But usually I am seen within 5 minutes of my time.
On occasion in the past I had the flu and was unable to see my regular doctor (on vacation) and I went to see another doctor or use the Urgent Care in the same building. They were also great and was able to treat my problem, sinus infections, etc.

I have dealt with their office through myself (Diabetic) and husband (Thyroid issue). Dr. Stall was okay but I found that he did a lot of talking but not with information I needed or could use in the management of my diabetes. Whenever I tried to contact him, he never returned my calls, only the nurse would and during the time I would ask her questions, she did not know the answer and would have to go and ask Dr. Stall the answer each time. When the insulin pills stopped working (I still took metformin), I finally came in and pushed to be put on shot form. He gave no information if I should discontinue, lessen, increase the pill dosage. I had to ask the nurse who went to ask him. This was very stressful to not have direct contact with the Doctor. The on site nurse who helps people learn how to give their shots was more helpful.
My husband dealt with Shawnee Weir with treating his Thyroid problem. she was GREAT. She listening to our conversation, gave meaningful information, Explained what she planned on doing to treat his Thyroid and what if any tests would be necessary or useful. She did not rush us out of her office. Wonderful Doctor!

I chose this lady because I prefer international doctors. At this time I had no major health issues. She seemed okay at first until I had major issues. I went to her for irregular bleeding, she examined me told me that I had to go to ER. I went to ER and they told me it was a menstrual cycle, probably brought on by stress but it was not an emergency and there were no signs to indicate so.
Next time, I went to her because I had a chest infection, rather than examine me and prescribe antibiotics, she sent me to ER. They checked me, and said there was no sign of pneumonia and gave me antibiotics.
Last and final time I saw her, I went to her because I had problems breathing (I have allergies during summer). She told me I might have asthma but did not run any tests. Instead she gave me meds for allergies. It was allergies, I knew this because I have it every year.
She has a tendency to panic people rather then indicate that she is not qualified to give a diagnosis. In retrospect, I should have filed a complaint,

Went to see Karen Corvin on recommendation of my sister who liked her. Went complaining of yeast infection, extreme thirst, being lethargic and blurred vision. I thought it was the birth control pills I was recently prescribed or that I was pregnant. It seemed that she focused on the information of me being lethargic and I (personal feelings) felt that there was something else going on with her, possible personal problems? I had my husband with me, and she told me I had psychological issues and needed to see a psychiatrist. I went to see my family practitioner and found that I was Type 1 diabetic. When I called Dr. Corvin to inform her of the diagnosis her response was "It's good they caught that before it was serious." I later found out that part of the routine lab tests the office runs includes a urine test to check for sugar but she never called me or notified me of the results (I have the papers to show for this and the notes she wrote at that visit). Keep in mind that you can request a copy of all records if you feel a mistake has been made. I submitted a complaint to the NC review Board. Horrible Doctor, was like a nightmare. I am managing my diabetes now and realize the importance of a second opinion :)
