Ear X-Tacy

Cool, but overrated

I like the idea of Ear X-Tacy more than I like the implementation. If you've been to an indie record store in any major city or college town, you pretty much know what to expect from Ear X-Tacy. Cool, but nothing worth making a special trip for IMHO. Everyone urges you to support your local record stores; however, no one has told me why I need to spend $4-5 more per disc just to say I got it there. I did get to catch the Foo Fighters play there live on July 4th in 2001 (I think it was 2001).
