Although the optometrist and ophthalmologist at Heart of America Eye care are highly recommended and top rated throughout the KC area, their receptionist are not. They exhibit extremely poor professionalism by speaking rudely to patients on the phone. They have made inappropriate comments regarding a patient who appeared from the conversation to have difficult paying their bills while in the presence of other customers in the waiting room. The are rude, continuously interrupting patients and attempt to complete their sentences. Even though the doctors are great and their primary concerns DO NOT include selling you glasses, contacts or even tests you don’t really need, the receptionist makes you think twice about returning.
