Books & Company is a lovely little Hamden fixture - good for grabbing a cheap beach read or other light reading, but it has neither the best selection nor best prices for local used books. What it does have is friendly staff, a little cafe, and best of all, local musicians on a fairly regular basis. They're mostly somewhere on the folk spectrum, but there's a lot of local talent - and it's fun to discover some of the great musicians in our midst.
