Not just a bookstore

Thursday, July 07, 2005
Good for fresh baked goods, sandwiches (on delightful fresh baked bread), soup or salad. A counter and section of tables in a charming local bookstore, Atticus is perfect for grabbing a quick working lunch or cup of coffee with a colleague. During the academic year, you'll often find groups of Yalies studying over snacks and piles of books. If the semi-productive atmosphere doesn't appeal, then ask the bookstore staff for their fiction recommendations and lose yourself in a book. They don't often disappoint. Note: if you're in the area after 6pm, you can buy that day's bread for a discount - it comes from the chabaso bakery, and is delicious in all its varieties.
