Comic Strip Live on the Upper East Side offers an escape from the "what should we do tonight" blues.
It's always great when someone makes you laugh. Unfortunately, the $20 cover + 2 drink minimum might not leave you so happy, search for deals - their website www.comicstriplive.com offers promotional ticket prices, making the evening a big more affordable.
Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to show time. Sure, you'll be waiting a while, but at least you'll have good seats. We sat in the middle and were greatly distracted by the folks behind us gabbing away during the show. Of course, it didn't help that one of the comics was more weird than funny, but 2 of the 4 performers were excellent.
