I was searching for another produce market (hopefully in Lynnwood) because I'm fed up with Safeway and Albertson's prices for produce.
So, I tried out Star Fruit today. I found most of what I needed and the prices were good, however, I was very turned off by all the garbage in the parking lot and sidewalks out front. Businesses need to be aware of the entire environment. Clean it up!
I was hoping for better.

On the recommendation of a friend, the family made a trek to Flower World today. Fun place. Huge pond with ducks, geese and chicken running around. Watch out for the cranky male goose (gander?). He attacked me! I thought it was funny. My toddler was a little scared. Beautiful, large open area for kids to run around.
We also explored the plants and flowers. We bought a rose bush for $12 which I thought was an incredible deal.
My only suggestion is they should put in a little cafe. All they had was pop machines for refreshments. Easy money for them. With their "out of the way" location they should have someplace to sit down and have a snack and drink - especially on a hot day like today.

We are regulars at Panera Bread. We like the fresh bread, sandwiches and soups. We also like not having to tip. You order your food, get a pager and then pick it up when it's ready. (My toddler thinks the pager is scary but my baby loves it).
Good selection of drinks. I haven't tried any of the desserts except the choc. chip cookie.
We've never had to wait very long, either, which is a big plus in Lynnwood.

We were quite disappointed. A long wait, EXTREMELY loud - bad acoustics, I think; plus the macaroni was terrible! What's with that? Our meals were actually pretty yummy but my toddler's macaroni tasted like Kraft Mac & Cheese! I could make something much tastier myself at home.
My son did like being able to write on the table - each one is covered in white paper. My husband and I ended up writing notes to each other on the table since we couldn't hear each other over the noise!
NOTE: I think it was Mother's Day when we visited so that may explain the noise/crowd.

When you have a sleeping baby and/or toddler in the car and you're starving - a drive thru is a lifesaver.

I finally made it to Cold Stone Creamery tonight. I had a Black Forest with sweet cream instead of chocolate. Very yummy. I gave a little to my baby and he went nuts for it. (his very first taste of ice cream - only the best for him!)
I got the medium size but I would've been happy with the small one.
We were surprised that there was no line up. Monday night on a holiday weekend is probably the reason.

They have a lot of Playmobile if your child is into that. You can get a free Playmobile catalog, as well.
Be sure to spot the chickens, ducks, and roosters hainging out nearby.

I like Bartell's good reputation for prescriptions and their "small company" feeling, however, this particular location is not as good as other Bartells. They have ridiculous hours. They close at 9 pm every night and they don't open early enough on Sunday mornings. I need a pharmacy with better hours. It is tough to get there by 9 pm and what if I needed something at 11 pm? I also find that I have to wait in line frequently at the pharmacy.
