The fish and chips were served with peas, coleslaw and fries. Burgers are good but the fries were soft--I like crispy fries. Also on the menu: Shepherd's pie, lamb stew, Irish bacon BLT and chicken curry.
In relation to time and attentiveness, the service sucks. But maybe I've just been on off nights. The beer list (drafts and bottles) makes up for it though.
They have a patio on the sidewalk, however it's on Ashland so may be loud/dirty, depending on traffic.

Delicious and made to order sandwiches with the standard chips. THe order to table time is short, as is delivery. THis location as has outdoor patio seating, which is very pleasant as the sidewalks are wider in this neighborhood. Parking is okay, but the Brown Line drops off not far from here (Rockwell stop, I think, but Damen is close, depending on the reconstruction stage).

Conveniently located in Water Tower, which also means this store always has plenty of staff on hand.

I thought I would stop going here when I graduated, but the food and prices are too good to pass up!
I reccommend the BBQ pork dishes, as well as the cucumber salad (less than $4, and almost enough for a meal!). My favorite, however, are the crispy rolls--mushrooms and glass noodles deep-fried. What could be better?
This place is pretty casual, but friend and family worthy. Bathrooms are decent, staff courteous, and the delivery is super-fast. Best delivery, hands-down!

The Loop location also gets very busy--but they have plenty of seating (large booths, crummy decor) so no need to worry.
A must if you are in the area for a game--the food is better and cheaper than Wrigley Stadium food (although it's hard to pass up on a hot dog at a baseball game).

The spinach quiche is divine, as is the rugalach.
They also are now using a "card" system for their tea club. Every dollar you spend equals 100 points; points add up to equal a free tea or coffee, and possibly food (I was only 1/2 paying attention to the cashier--he was too cute!).

This place is easy to get to by bus or train, and parking is not bad.
It also feels a bit kitschy--with the "stone wheel" of pencil and paper scoring. It reminds me of growing up in Wisconsin...

Good for a night out with friends, and not as expensive as other places (see Lucky Strike at AMC River East).

I really like shopping here--except on Sundays....never go shopping on Sundays---it's like a shark feeding frenzy.
There is ample parking (except on Sundays), the bus stops right at the corner (whenever it comes), and much selection inside, from fresh food to prepared food to drinks to plants, etc.
I like shopping here because everything you buy can be easily molded into a meal, rather than trying to remember a thousand ingredients in order to cook something. Prices are very good and I love the staff/cashiers! For the most part, they act as if they actually like their jobs!

CTA needs to get with the times. I almost always use public transportation in other cites and have found that the CTA, while not the worst, doesn't even make it to my top 5 (Bern [or any Swiss city], London, New York, Cologne and D.C.). Aren't there enough world-wide examples for us to be able to develop a better system? AND a better business/budgeting plan?
Why are we paying more for the same (and in some cases, worse) shitty service? Late busses and trains, piggy-backing busses, poor station upkeep, poor train/bus upkeep, etc. etc. etc. And the Red Line--has anyone ever cleaned those train cars?
