Service is nothing special and I always feel rushed by the servers. Food is also nothing special; it holds mass appeal and comes in massive quantities and is always massively disappointing. The dark interior makes it difficult to see what you are eating, which is something I like to do and assume most others do too.
However, under mounds of whip cream, they actually serve a sumptuous cheesecake--which you can get to go from the front counter.

THey also sell many coffee accoutrement, so if you have an Italian stovetop espresso maker, for instance, you can get your rubber rings here.

I could eat here everyday, although I could only eat a Wreck every other day!
The smoothies and shakes are good enough to stand on their own.
Live and local music occasionally.

The fire is a cozy touch, and goes well with the "accessorized" bar/comfort food (think burgers with salads, twelve dollar pasta, etc.). Drink prices are comparatively expensive, therefore I would not go here to get my "drink on," but for a nice meal with friends, or even my mom, Uncommon Ground is ideal.
Parking is okay, but mostly metered in this neighborhood.
The waiters are also okay, but they don't stand-out.

I have really been disappointed in the service--the servers seem tired and/or bored. My girlfriends and I went recently and felt like we were being ignored--and no one around us seemed to be getting "special treatment" either so I'm not sure where our server was diverting his energy to.
The wine selection, on the other hand, is solid.

The food was just okay; i went in expecting gourmet portions, but the servings seemed like sample sizes. THe fish was very fresh, however. I recommend the Ahi Tuna Steak Tartare

I would go back for a drink at the bar. Wine was expensive, but very good--the Maderia was superb. Also, the bathrooms and decor overall was very soothing and modern.

Sidewalk seating during the warm months--very nice later at night when traffic is sparse. Brunch is a very busy time, and this place serves a lot of families

Great lattes that go well with the chocolate chip and oat with walnut cookies.
The prices are better than most bakeries and there's something for every sweet tooth: chocolate, caramel, sweets, sours, etc. Cakes made to order in many sizes/styles--perfect for a unique birthday. They range from $25-60 or more.
Obviously, this place is busy on the weekends, but the mornings see a steady stream of people too.

Seating on the main floor is cramped and limited, and the tables are small.
It's good but not good enough to make me crave it.

The MCA has many unique offerings, the current one being Andy Warhol (until June, I think). But a few years ago they had an amazing exhibit focused on Mies Van der Rohe. For such a small space, the MCA manages to offer stellar works and extremely cohesive exhibits.
There is also a theater space at the MCA, as well as a farmer's market during the summer months, typically one day during the week.
