Very basic and inexpensive pasta that is consistently good. Daily specials and a short wine list make this a nice casual place for a meal. This is a small restaurant, and really not good for groups larger than 6. Pasta Bowl also has a delivery service--which is a necessary feature as parking on Clark St. is non-existent.

I have frequently found the service, while good, somewhat inconsistent.
THis would be a good place for large groups who have a lot of different tastes.

Excellent coffee and espresso drinks--I especially like the lattes, as the baristas take the time to steam the milk and pour it correctly (you'll be able to tell by what will likely be a heart shape in the foam--some baristas make their own foam design, however). The usual array of pastries and other coffee accoutrements are available too.
VERY crowded on weekends, with families and strollers, and some extreme coffee lovers. I get mine to go.
Sidewalk seating available in warmer months.

Ten dollars for dinner entrees, which inludes salad.
If you don't want to wait for weekend crowds, just get the rolls to go at the take out counter.

For every little girl who ever wanted to be a princess, this store is perfect: you have shopping for overpriced dolls, an overly expensive restaurant where your dolly can "eat" too, and the chance to practice adult and/or "mommy" skills. Also, a hair salon, outfits to match your doll's, and velvet rope outside for the long lines (it may be velvet, but a line's a line). I consider it a training ground for future desperate housewives.

Okay variety of shoes, helpful staff and good sales. THis is a very small store, and on the weekends it is very crowded. Mostly a running-tech store, although basketball, walking, cross training, and classics are also on the shelves. THe staff are usually pretty good about putting you in the right shoe.
Sports t-shirts, jerseys, caps, and some fitness clothing are also available

Friendly and informed staff who are very willing to answer questions. This service makes Uncle Dan's that much more attractive when you're looking for the right backpack or quick-drying towel.
Parking is horrible on this stretch of Lincoln, though. The Fullerton Red/Brown/Purple Line is only a 10-min. or less walk away.

Pick your own pita fillings and flavorings (I go for the Greek). The soups are freshly made every day, and the shakes are close to the best I've had in Chicago. Good delivery service and, for the amount of food you get, the price is excellent, especially for college students. The amount of rice, however, is a bit excessive; I always have leftovers.
I don't like to eat on location, though, because it feels too much like a fast-food chain.

The volume is usually turned up too high to have great conversation. A punky, bikerish type of place, with plenty of brews to choose from.
And unfortunately, they have taken down the wooden, English pub-style sign with a portrait of a woman on each side.
