I could spend hours wandering around Lowes looking at all the stuff I'd like to do in my house. They have everything, and their staff is always willing to answer any questions you might have about any home improvement projects. They don't have a great selection of metric fasteners though, and some things get moved around and they're hard to find, like their childproofing stuff. But their staff helped us find it!

The food is SO good (dungeoness crab....mmmmmm), the staff is friendly, and the decor will keep your eyes moving, to say the least! My son loves the music there, they play a lot of older dance music, and he will dance and bounce in his high chair. They even have the perfect sized dessert for me, and I never have room for dessert. It's a little strawberry shortcake served in a stemmed glass. Yum!

I know a lot of people think there's only one reason to go to Hooters (yeah, the wings, right?) But I can tell you there's more to hooters than...wings. My husband and I took our 21 month old there for lunch, and the waitresses were just swarming around. My son was lapping up the attention, and it kept our drinks full! He even got a frisbee with his kids meal. The wings really are worth the trip though.

My family and I go to Hometown Buffet on Sunday mornings some weekends for breakfast. Having a son under two, this works out great when he decides to be finicky, if he decides that day that doesn't like what we got him, we don't have to spend another few dollars to get him something he does like that day! The food is very good, and the waitstaff is very friendly. But did you know you're supposed to tip them?? Don't forget!

Home Depot is one of those stores where it's easy to spend a lot of money on stuff you have to put together ;) I do love going there now that I own a house. The staff is well educated in their respective departments so they can help you get everything you need for whatever project you're doing. We were shopping for sheds there and their prices on those are very good, even if you have them install it for you.

Haney's is a great place to go for Sunday morning breakfast. The food is great and the prices are even better. And for the money you're spending, the portions are very good. The service is pretty darn good too! They even mix their chocolate milk by hand. You can even buy their raisin bread by the loaf if you want to!

I recently started shopping at Glory Supermarket. I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I went, as it sits right behind a strip club. But I was really happy with what I found! The place is huge, their prices are fair, and the cashiers are FRIENDLY for once! They also have a rewards program, with a keychain card like the bigger stores do. When you shop you earn points, and you can trade your points in for prizes, like a tv, dvd player, microwave, toaster oven, etc. The place is so nice, it's well lit, well organized, and clean! Their meat department is huge, they have very nice produce, and it's never been crowded once while I've been there. I've never had to wait in line longer than about 5 minutes or so. What a great store!

The staff is awesome, the food's great, I only wish they were open every day! They have an incredible selection of italian dishes, every one of them is excellent. Oh, try the chicken noodle soup too!

This store has so much stuff, they had to add another half to the building! They have an incredible silk flower section, and I don't mean those chinsy ones you find at dollar stores. I did all my wedding flowers in silk. I did my bouquet, three bridesmaids bouquets, my toss bouquet, 11 boutonieres and 9 corsages, all for just over $100. I also did my own favors, and they have loads of stuff for those too. I think I could have done all my decorating from there if I had gone there first! They don't have scrapbooking supplies, and I don't think they have fabric, but they have so much else that it makes up for it! Also, if you have a business you can get a membership that will get you a deep discount off everything you buy. Take a look!

This is the nearest zoo to my house, so it's the one I go to. It's not too bad, but I'm kinda sad that the elephants aren't there anymore. The arctic exhibit is really awesome though, and they've revamped some of the other exhibits over the last few years. There's a lot that is different since I was a kid. I took my 21 month old son there last month, and he loved going to the aviary to see the butterflies. That was really the highlight of his day because they fly right around you, they're not on the other side of the glass or something. I just wish their prices were a little lower and that they hadn't started charging to ride the train.
