My husband and I decided to go to Outback for dinner one night, and we took our son. As usual, he decided the wait was too long and started screaming. But the waitstaff was on top of it. They immediately brought him a plate of cheese, fruit and crackers! I'm sure it was mostly to keep him from disturbing the other customers, but I still thought it was very nice. I also greatly appreciate that the whole place is nonsmoking, and that they don't play country music like Lonestar and Logans do. And the food is awesome too!

On many Friday nights my family goes to National for dinner. They have the absolute best coneys on earth, hands down. I've actually heard from people who make a special trip there when they come to Michigan from out of town. The Hani's are good too. My biggest beef is that the waitresses forget to check your drinks a lot so you have to catch them as their running by.

My husband and I went to Naked Furniture looking for an inexpensive dinette set. We knew the moment we walked in that there was nothing inexpensive there! Everything was beautiful, just way out of our price range. We were just about to leave when we were cornered by a sales lady with an ENORMOUS smile. She would not let us leave without first showing us every dinette they had in the store. We kept telling her we didn't have enough, and didn't have the credit to finance it, but she would not take no for an answer. We ended up just taking off when she wasn't looking!

If you have never been to Mongolian Barbeque, I recommend you get off your butt and go right now! It's a totally different dinner experience. You build your own meal from the buffet, and then bring it to the cook and they fry it up for you right there in front of you. The waitstaff is very friendly and on the ball with refills, which is great! I recommend reservations though because without them your wait for a table could be VERY long!

I started going to Mission OB when I was pregnant with my son. There are four doctors and you see all of them at some point in your pregnancy. When it's time to deliver, you've met all of them, so you won't be in for a surprise when the doctor on call shows up. They're all great doctors, and the nurses are all awesome too! If you HAVE to go to the gynocologist (and ya do!) this is the one to go to.

We chose this office for my son's pediatric care, at literally the last minute, while I was being closed up from my c-section! My doctor recommended them, and one of the four doctors came out the next day to check him over. He has been going there ever since, and I couldn't be happier with the care he gets. I like that they have separate waiting rooms for sick and well patients too, I don't know if that's a normal thing, but I think it's very nice. Everyone on the staff has been wonderful everytime we've had to go in. And it's comforting to know that if I have any problems or questions, I can get a hold of a doctor at any hour. Just don't make an appointment for Monday because they're always packed on Mondays!

I am a frequent shopper of the Meijer store at 16 Mile and Van Dyke. The people there are very friendly, and I can get everything I need in one stop. My only complaint is about their one hour photo area. I have used it twice and both times it has taken longer than the one hour promised. Once I even had to come back the next day because their machine broke! I was given half off both times though, so I can't complain too much. Overall, this Meijer location is a great place to shop.

I recently visited the Meijer Store on 13 Mile in Madison Heights. It's a relatively new store. It's very easy to get around because it's set up like all Meijer stores. The main aisleways are a bit cramped though, they put so many center aisle displays up that the walkways are pretty narrow. But otherwise it's a great store!
