Reliable neighborhood Indian

When I can't make it down to Curry Row (6th Street) or hit Curry Hill (Lexington in the upper 20s), I order from here. Baluchi's is a chain of restaurants in New York City, and while some will argue it's the McDonald's of Indian, I disagree.
They produce good quality Indian dishes and their biriyani is one of the best I've had in the city. They have an appetizer called Ka Chori, and while even they can't describe what it is (it says so on the menu), it's great and I order it every time. I also find that whatever else I order, whether it's the lamb saag or chicken vindaloo, I'm not disappointed. Overall, I find this to be a decent back-up for satisfying the Indian jones, without the need to travel downtown for it.
