No child could be unhappy in IKEA's play area wonderworld...I would imagine, see, I've never taken my child in! I know leaving your kids there for an hour sounds like heaven for those with kids they can't afford to get a nanny for, but just know one thing - no one under 3 years old who isn't potty trained! I don't really know why...I mean, I understand the training issue, but come on! Just thought you should know before you think you're going to have any childless wondering time to yourself.

The Crown Hill location is huge and has a little of everything! If I need to relax, one thing I love to do is sort through all the junk to find the treasures there! Some of my favorite items of clothing have come to me used. It's economically responsible, they have that worn-in comfort that I love, and the best benifit is that I can get higher quality things used rather than going to a store to buy something new that's less quality and more expensive (whew, long sentance)!

But, when you're having a hectic morning/day - there's nothing more comforting that knowing what you're going to get! When I have stopped at other cafรฉs for my espresso, I am, 98% of the time, disappointed. I happen to LOVE the flavor at Starbucks, and find other places taste burnt to me...it's all relative, I suppose. But, I know that no matter what city I'm in, if/when I find a Starbucks, that I'll have a cool place to sit and enjoy my little bit of liquid heaven.

If you go to actually sing - you have to do early or there's no WAY to get on their list, and there's very little chance you'll get to sing more than once unless you tip the guy well! Anyway, if you're claustrophobic in any way or over the age of 25, you may be a little uncomfortable, but don't take my word for it...

I love this playground and wading pool - they are right next to each other. They're enclosed (for the most part), and they have age appropriate play equipment! You can have one who just learned how to walk as well as your 7 year old with you, and they would both be happy and safe!
The only downfall is the sometimes unsupervised company. When my son had just learned to walk, he was toddling in the pool and some wild child poured a bucket of water on his head. He ran off without an apparent parent in sight! Since, I've noticed that since it's right in the center of a city of apartments, parents will send their children down to "play" - but, in the end it's worth it - just steer clear of them...

Dana Blackham (a male doctor, by the way) came highly recommended to me when I became pregnant. I must tell you, there's no one like him!! He always deliver's his babies (something like 97% of the time), and after the baby's born, he plays his guitar for a while and sings folk music. His wife offered to take photos of us for free as well! He is the most intellectual and patient doctor/gynecologist I've ever worked with. He takes time to listen to every question or concern you may have. I plan to drive from Lynnwood to use him again when we get preggers. Can you tell I'm a fan?!

We just switched health care providers, but we were with Group Health for a few years before that. Although I would NEVER recommend this Lynnwood location (or the Capital Hill location for that...
We just switched health care providers, but we were with Group Health for a few years before that. Although I would NEVER recommend this Lynnwood location (or the Capital Hill location for that matter) for your own health needs (I was misdiagnosed and not treated for things I should have been treated for), they were wonderful with my son! He was taken care of and he looked forward to his visits - which is not common for a two year old.

I had a miscarriage last fall and went to the women's clinic for medical help. Even though the three doctors I met with over that month span were never very good, they did okay. My complaint was when I attempted to get help with my endometriosis issue (I had had surgery once before), they didn't diagnose me properly and I didn't get treated for a problem that could have been fixed with a simple second surgery! I complained about pain, and I was told just not to "push there"! About six months later, I switched insurance and went back to my old doctor who told me that I needed surgery right away. They found that it had gotten out of control, my ovaries were glued to my organs and nothing was working right - they cleared it up, and we're now trying to get pregnant again. I'm just mad because my miscarriage could have been the result of that mess, and we could have been pregnant by now if it had been cleared up as it should have been last fall! So, not recommended.

When I had my son three years ago, the overwhelming recommendation was Ballard Pediatrics. I had no choice, and I was grateful in the end! I was sad to leave them when we moved, and have yet to find an office up north that compares to their care. They are great with infants/kids as well as with the parent(s), and they had drop in hours on the weekend when you need them. They've remodeled since then, and their staff, I'm sure, is just as solid as ever.
