Elm Street Liquors

Thursday, May 18, 2006
This place is the place to go if you want to pay $10 for a 40 of malt liquor. Imagine if a hipster bar and a frat boy bar had a love child that neither one would claim, and you've got Elm Street Liquors. Pros: > I wasn't paying for my drinks > The skylight is cool > There seemed to be a group of regulars who knew each other and liked each other Cons: > The drinks are expensive > The dry martini I ordered was $10, small, loaded with vermouth, and managed to be warm in spite of the ice chunks floating at the top > It's too loud to talk If you like places that are fashionable for no reason, this is your place. I doubt I'll ever return.
