This place is classic! I love the pictures on the wall from around the neighborhood and the snippets of Chicago history. The bread steak sandwich is a Chicago classic and big enough for two meals. I also love the chicken sandwich with the garlic bread. I'm drooling just thinking about it. I love the location too, it's the perfect place to go before a day trip to the ballpark or Chinatown.

This is the perfect place if you just need a cheap outfit on the fly. The clothes aren't of the greatest quality, but you can get full outfits, including accessories for less then 10-15 bucks. Also, this is a great place to go to stock up on basic wardrobe staples, like plain tank tops, t-shirts, or long- sleeved shirts. They often have a 2 or 3 for $10 deal on those items.

As cute and dainty as the undies are, they are overpriced and not that well made! I have bought plenty of adorable bras that probably cost more then the rest of the outfit, only to have them break within weeks. Maybe I'm just destructive, but I don't seem to have that problem with other stores. Your best bet is to go to Filene's next door and get three bras there for the price of one at Victoria's. Their new "Pink" campaign annoys me too. I don't like shopping for underclothes next to little girls who have no business being in the store anyway, but that's their new target audience I guess.

This store is three floors of discounted goodies! Recently, my friend and I found some very cute designer Easter dresses for less than thirty dollars. You can't beat that! They also have great sales. This location is more organized and current then the State Street store and has a larger selection.

This Filene's on State is worse then the store on Michigan Ave. This Filene's is actually in the basement...under TJ Maxx. They don't have much of a selection and still charge some outrageous...
This Filene's on State is worse then the store on Michigan Ave. This Filene's is actually in the basement...under TJ Maxx. They don't have much of a selection and still charge some outrageous prices for last season's designer clothes. Amazing deals can be found though. It can be well worth it to search through the store and put up with the unfriendly staff.

I absolutely love this place! It's the best! It's open 24 hours, it is near UIC, and right on Halsted. The best part about this place is the variety! They have quite an extensive menu - everything from Grecian Chicken to tacos to breakfast food. The staff is friendly, and it's the perfect place for a late night out or a cheap lunch. The specials are all delicious and under six dollars. My favorite is the grilled chicken on a pita. Good stuff.

The Field really is the best museum in Chicago. It has some of the most comprehensive exhibits and great collections. I spend way too much of my time there. My favorite permanent exhibits are the Hall of Jade and the Tibetan collection. I'm not a huge dinosaur person, but even I am awed by Sue. The special exhibits they have are awesome. I love the Chinese dinosaur exhibit and the Pompeii exhibit was interesting too. The King Tut exhibit is going to be amazing!! I can't wait to see it! Definitely dedicate a whole day when you decide to check out this place.

It's got great prices and a great selection. Sure, you have to search for gems, but that is what makes it fun! I bought some of my favorite shirts here! I also get ten books for a dollar almost I go. Mondays are good for the half price deal, but the selection is low and everything has been picked through. Tuesdays are the best days to go. That's when they put out all the new merchandise. The prices are cheap to begin with anyways and two or three colors are half-price anyway. All in all, I totally recommend it.

This place is too cool!! I worked for the company for over a year and I loved it! It really doesn't get old making teddy bears. It's a very detailed process. First, you gotta pick out your animal, and there are new options every month. Then, you have to stuff the animal. The machines are really cool and fun to play with...especially filling the machine with more fluff. After you stuff it, you have to do a heart ceremony that is almost guarenteed to be different each time you go. Each employee puts their own spin on it. After it's sewn up, you have to give a bath, dress it, name it, and get its home. There are new clothes coming in on an almost weekly basis, so there is always something new. The staff at Navy Pier is the best too! Alright...I'm a little biased...but this place rocks!

This video store is alright. Nothing special. The workers there are a little bit rude, and a little bit slow, but if you can get over that, they have good movie sales. Twice, I've been confronted with a late fee after I turned the movie in on time in the overnight drop. It's almost cheaper just to stay at home and order movies off of the cable.
