This is an uber Old Navy. It's huge and daunting, but the selection and prices are great! The biggest complaint I would have about this store is sometimes on weekends, there are crazy lines for the dressing room, but that is easily solved by going to another floor's dressing room. When you stop by, be sure to say hello to Old Navy Jesus Man. I don't know his real name, but he's always out there in front of the store preaching and hurling insults into his microphone on wheels. All in all, a good time.

Too cool!
I love this store. You can pick out and "make" some really cool t-shirts. Also, this is the place to get funky belts. I got a pirate belt there...Arrr! It also has a good selection of Converse...

It also has a good selection of Converse for pretty cheap. I got my hot pink and lime green Converse high tops there for $15. You really can't beat that. They also have goofy nostalgia to transport you back to the days before Pee-Wee Herman was in jail. This store is fun to look around in, even if you don't buy anything.

H &M's clearance racks are unrivaled! This store is the best for finding an outfit for cheap. The quality isn't too bad...the pieces I have bought from there have passed the test of time. I even bought my winter coat there for less then a hundred dollars and it did a great job of keeping me warm this winter. Overall, H&M is a nice alternative to all the overpriced stores lining Michigan Ave.

I wish I could give this place no stars! I have not one good thing to say about this place! I went spur of the moment after noticing my ever-growing amount of split-ends. The staff was unfriendly...
I wish I could give this place no stars! I have not one good thing to say about this place! I went spur of the moment after noticing my ever-growing amount of split-ends. The staff was unfriendly and did not speak to me the entire time. I tried to to make conversation too! Not only did they not speak to me, for all I know, they were talking about me, because they spoke to each other in another language the whole time. Besides that, the woman who cut my hair cut it unevenly. When I pointed it out to her, she cut the short side some more!! She didn't listen to what I wanted and just barely glanced at the pictures I had brought in to show her. I also had my eyebrows done and those turned out lopsided too! When I got home, I had to try to fix my own hair and draw in my eyebrows. DO NOT GO HERE!! It's horrible!

If you like books, you will LOVE Myopic. It's one of those bookstores with the huge,towering, winding shelves that you can just get lost in. Every topic and genre is covered. As far as price- I think it's about level with Amazon. Plus, it's right off the Damen Blue Line. Can't beat that!

I do still call it Comisky. Every year though, New Comisky keeps getting better and better. The FanDeck can be the best seat in the house! Now that they took off the super crazy high Upper Deck seats, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. And we all know that the team performs! I also love tailgating before the game! The community of Sox fans that gather are really fun and who can resist a mean game of beanbags?!? Also, I love the fireworks! I can't wait for tonight's show!

UIC is a great public school. Lately, they have been hiring professors with a bit more prestige and experience. It is definitely not the same school it was just ten years ago. UIC also has excellent programs to help you get your foot in the door of your future career. For example, UIC is linked up with the Field Museum to provide anthropology majors an opportunity to network. Not to mention it's an excellent price for a great education.

This Filene's on State is worse then the store on Michigan Ave. This Filene's is actually in the basement...under TJ Maxx. They don't have much of a selection and still charge some outrageous...
This Filene's on State is worse then the store on Michigan Ave. This Filene's is actually in the basement...under TJ Maxx. They don't have much of a selection and still charge some outrageous prices for last season's designer clothes. Amazing deals can be found though. It can be well worth it to search through the store and put up with the unfriendly staff.

I love the Christkindlmarket! It's really underrated and never seems to be too crowded. It's a great way to get into that holiday spirit. Go buy a nice personalized ornament, have some strudel, then walk to go see the windows at Fields. Only after I visit the Chriskindlemarket and see the windows at Field's am I ready for Christmas!
