When you walk in to the building, you will note that the reception area is clean and filled with reading material for your wait. Most of the time the wait is 5 minutes or less after the scheduled appointment time to be moved to an exam room. However, we have waited as much as 40 minutes in the waiting room, with no explanation as for the wait. (We didn’t see Dr. H. on the visit.) Another cool thing in the reception area is the Shaq memorabilia. There is an autographed shoe, a photo and a certificate of authenticity.
Once into an exam room, you are given the initial evaluation by a nurse/tech. Then you wait for the doctor. Sometimes it is only a few minutes, and sometimes the wait is lengthier.
Procedures are explained in detail. Questions are answered. I have never felt as though I was being talked down to or that I had asked a silly question. The whole experience is typically quite comfortable. My family has had several visits to Feet for Life for more routine things as well as surgery. We have been for the most part happy with our results.
The only real negative is the exam room layout. There seems to be an older portion of the building where the layout is more open, that is, you have to walk through a huge open patient area to get to other exam rooms, and people having treatments in these areas have no privacy. We prefer the new exams rooms where you don’t have to share an area with other patients or walk past other patients receiving treatment. I like Feet for Life enough to recommend it to others.

Looking for hip, young clothing for the man in your life? Then I suggest you try Express Men. The only one I know of in this area is a Westfield Shopping Town Crestwood.
The store caters to younger men. There is a large selection of nicer jeans, but there are also a lot of other items. Most of the clothing is stylish and cutting edge. The prices are medium to high end for a mall-type store. You can't purchase a suit in this store, but you can purchase a nicer outfit of slacks and a shirt. There is a large selection of ties, which I really like. My 40 something husband even wears them.
The best thing about Express Men is I routinely get high value coupons in the mail from them. Last time I received two $15 off - one for a friend and me. My son found a t-shirt that he likes that was priced at $15.50. I used my coupon on it - can't beat 50 cents for a t-shirt.

Hot Topic is a store known for it's gothic apparel, but it really sells much more than that. The store that I visit the most is located at Westfield Shopping Town Crestwood.
The store has a huge collection of t-shirts with music artists on them. The variety is quite large and includes artists from virtually every genre, but concentrates on rock. In addition to the variety of t-shirts and goth items, one can find toys, patches and a collection of other items from cartoons. Most of these items are from mature cartoons, but not all.
Some people are turned off by the storefront, which is very goth, but don't let appearances be deceiving. They typically have a huge clearance section in the rear of the store. I typically visit Hot Topic each time I visit the mall.

Barnes and Noble Booksellers is one of the many book stores within an easy drive from my house. The store is large with a large variety of genres to choose from. In addition to the many books, the store has a decent sized music section, and a separate children's section. A shopper can also find DVDs, a smattering of toys, periodicals, and a coffee shop. At checkout, there were many registers, but not many clerks. I did have to wait in line behind a handful of customers. Overall -- a good store.

Every make over needs a shopping trip. Macy's is one of the major department stores in the St. Louis area. Although there are several locations, I have only been to the one located at Westfield shopping, Crestwood.
The store is large, with two levels. Each time I have been in the store, there have been multiple sales. It didn't seem as though there were many sales people on the floor, so if I would have needed assistance, it may have been a problem. Also, not each register was open, so you had to look around to find one with a sales associate.
The variety of items in the store was wonderful though. There didn't seem to be an over abundance of each item, but there were many different items to choose from. It is my favorite mid-priced department store.

My husband brought me take out from a relatively new restaurant in the area called The Pitted Olive. Mike and Melissa Holmes are the owners of this awesome place. I liked my Grilled Portabella sandwich and Thai noodles so much that I sent my husband back for more for the next day! He brought me a to go of Thai noodles and Pitted Olive Greek salad. The salad was so delicious and was a meal in itself. I can't say enough about how delicious this food is.
St. Louis locals might know Chef Holmes from Truffles in Ladue where he was head chef for quite some time before leaving to open The Pitted Olive just over a year ago. It is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10:30am - 10pm.
Visit this restaurant for a bit of heaven.

While in New Mexico for a wedding, I went to a rehearsal dinner at The County Line of Albuquerque. This restaurant is part of a chain that has been in business for over 25 years. I am familiar with the San Antonio, Texas locations and have eaten there several times -- and enjoyed it.
The interior of the Albuquerque location looks very similar to the interior San Antonio location. The County Line of Albuquerque is supposed to be a 40’s roadhouse (their words, not mine). I admit I don’t really know what that is, but what I do know is that whatever the decorating style is, there are a lot of tables crammed closely together, lots of raw wood, and otherwise southwest style decorations isn’t something I would chose if I was designing restaurants. However, from the outside, the Albuquerque location winds hands down as it is simply beautiful, literally just minutes from those wonderful Sandia Mountains. Sometimes, location is everything.
The food is southwestern style barbecue and is served family style. For the rehearsal dinner and our party of 50, we had big platters of chicken, beef ribs, brisket, and sausage. We also had baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, beans, and two types of bread and honey butter. For dessert, we were offered dishes of ice cream, but who could eat anything else after all of that food?
The food was good, with the exception of the chicken, which was a bit under-done. It wasn’t great though. Service at The County Line of Albuquerque was mediocre at best. You would think that a party as large as ours would have rated a dedicated waiter, but we didn’t. We shared ours with other tables.
I was glad that I didn’t have to pay the bill. I know I would have complained about the chicken and the service. However, I wasn’t on the receiving end of the bill – and the bride and groom were happy, which was the goal of the day anyway.

I recently visited with a business manager for Community Alternatives Missouri (CAMO). This agency is a part of the larger for profit Rescare, Inc., and operates four sites under the CAMO umbrella in Missouri (Jefferson City, St. Louis, Hannibal, and Sedalia).
CAMO St. Louis offers two primary services. One is their day program that provides interactive and educational activities and projects for individuals who need training in basic life skills to assist them in reaching their full potential. The other service is supported living. This program has two primary modes of delivery: one is ISLA (Independent Supported Living). In this program, individuals receive a limited number of support hours each week, typically between two and eight hours during which they receive assistance in such areas as shopping, transportation, bill paying and socialization.
The other types of homes are a 24/7 home in which the members of the home receive care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Although some organizations that provide 24/7 care for the developmentally disabled and allows staff members to sleep when the consumers are asleep (as long as they are not a danger to themselves or others). However, CAMO does not allow any sleep shifts. All are awake. Consumers receiving this type of care receive varying levels of assistance. All levels of assistance are geared toward allowing the consumer the highest level of independence possible.

If you are looking for a great place to eat in Kirkwood, you should definitely try Cafe Provencal. I went with my husband, and met up with friends. It was an awesome evening. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the bubbly host, Ryan, who made our evening perfect. We were ushered to the bar where we had luscious drinks. Then on to our table, where we had outstanding food and service. I highly recommend the anchovy pizza appetizer (of course, it has a fancy French name that I absolutely cannot even attempt to spell), and whatever fish is the catch of the day. This is a first class, first rate restaurant. I love it, and would recommend it to anyone -- only I wouldn't take my children there, not because they wouldn't enjoy it, but I want the special ambiance all to myself!

Grilling for my family and friends over this Labor Day weekend typically means at least one burn for me and scrapes for the kids who are running around like mad playing. I have how to keeps those burns off my hands (see my review here of the awesome oven mitts I use: http://www.judysbook.com/members/MelindaB/posts/2006/9/452254/ ), but I haven't managed to keep those scrapes from my children. So I make sure I have all of the supplies I need for ouchies by shopping my local Walgreens. Actually, there are two that are near my house, one is much newer than the other. I prefer the older location at the corner of Gravois and River Des Peres.
This Walgreens location is always clean and well stocked. That is important to me when I am looking for a specific item. But even more than that, the staff at this store is helpful and nice! I have never been spoken to in a curt manner nor have I been rudely told to look for an item myself (I wouldn't have asked for help if I could have found it). In addition, this store is open 24 hours and the pharmacy is always open.
So if you need to stock your medicine cabinet in order to for the masses invading your house for you holiday festivities, check out Walgreens. I give it five stars.
