This is a company with dishonest owners that you do NOT want to deal with. When I was just opening a small business and didn't have a lot of capital to work with, I ordered a phone system from the Phone Center/Tri-Star. It was installed wrong, so that I could not make or receive phone calls. Then, when I called their office to report this, I was dealt with rudely. When they finally came to my office after several days, they did correct their wiring error; however, the pain of dealing with these people was not worth having this system (which could only be purchased locally from their company).

The first 12 Hours of Sebring race held on March 15, 1952 and Sebring has never been the same since. Life changes in Sebring during race week. We welcome the thousands of visitors who invade our city. This is the most exciting thing to happen in the County all year.
The raceway has come a long way since 1952! The rich and maybe famous may choose to watch the race in Club Sebring Suite, which overlooks pitlane to provide a panoramic view of the action. If you can afford the price of $400 per membership, this is a great way to relax and watch the races in air conditioned comfort. Club Sebring membership is very limited.
Open Pit Box Seats are another great way to experience the excitement up close. Take in the sights, sounds and the aroma of high octane fuel as you watch from above. The single seat price for the open pit box is $180.
Tickets range in price from $75 for a One-Day Superticket to $4600 for a Private Pit Box, which includes 25 seats + 4 car passes.
From wherever you choose to watch the race, Sebring International Raceway provides fun and excitement for all!

I recently took my sewing machine to Crafty Quilters for repair. It had been years since I'd been in Crafty Quilters, which is a cute, cozy little shop housed in a cottage. Not only do they repair all makes of sewing machines, they are also authorized dealers for New Home and Janome machines. They also sell notions and fabrics and hold quilting classes. Definitely worth a browse!

Jim Wood has built a full service realty agency; however, I question his ethics. He helped us buy a house on a lake. We ended up paying more than the list price because he kept telling us other people were interested in it and he didn't know if we'd get it if we only bid the asking price. After buying our house, I kept watching the real estate news in our local paper and have noticed that it isn't uncommon for listings with his office to sell above the listing price - great for sellers - and I wonder how true his story was that he had other buyers interested in the house that we bought.
Otherwise, we found Golden Key and the people working there satisfactory to work with.

My husband died of lung cancer. As he was undergoing chemotherapy, his dentures quit fitting correctly and became uncomfortable. He went to an oral surgeon in Sebring but he wanted to make an entire set of new dentures. Because my husband was dealing with lung cancer and chemotherapy, he didn't want to go through having new dentures made at that time. This other oral surgeon refused to do anything less than make a new set of dentures. At the recommendation of a friend, we decided to go to Dr. Guelff. He understood my husband's situation and made some adjustments to his dentures which made them comfortable enough for him to continue wearing them.

WWOJ is a Country Station that is totally involved with the community.
The Morning Show is on weekdays from 6am until 10am and "stars" John Meder, along with Barry Foster. Stacy Clark, who I think should replace Meder, is the mid day DJ. Joe Donelan has only been at OJ a couple of years, although he's been a country radio personality for more than 20 years.
To me, the best part about OJ is Paul Harvey. His show plays Monday through Friday at 8:40am, 12:30pm and 4:30pm and on Saturday at 8:40am and 12:30pm. I've been known to sit in my car just to hear him!
My favorite DJ was Jerel Eller. He was funny and full of personality. I think OJ made a big mistake when they got rid of him.
OJ keeps me going many a day. In fact, I'm listening to country's best songs even as I write this!

Postal clerks Peggy, Kim and Rick make this THE best Post Office in the world! They define the term customer service. No other business in town can match the patience these three have. They accurately answer any question you might have and, if in doubt, they will gladly find out the answer for you. If you write a little slow (maybe due to arthritis), they will gladly fill out forms for you. Even though I have moved to Sebring and have two Post Offices closer to my new home, I still return to the Avon Park Post Office just to visit with Peggy, Rick and Kim.

My late husband had several items embroidered at Designer's Top Shop. They have a nice little shop in downtown Avon Park not too far off Main Street. They made a couple of embroidered patches and baseball caps for my husband. The woman who owns the shop is very helpful in designing the item you're interested in and her work is very good, but their turn around time has always taken longer than first promised.
Designer's Top Shop sells shirts, caps, jackets, shorts and a few other items in their store (although their prices seem high to me). They will either screen print or embroider a design on these items or something you've brought in.
