White Hen is a very popular convienant store around the Chicago area. The variety of products they offer is really pretty good considering it is kinda a grab and go kind of place. Typically you will never be too far away from one of these stores and they can really come in handy if you are in a jam and need an item in a hurry. They also have a Deli area and some of these stores even make milkshakes.

Lou Malnati's is a probably my favorite place to get pizza in Chicago. The restaurants are always clean and well maintained and the staff is always friendly. Even though they have really great Chicago style deep dish pizza my true affection lies with their thin crust pizza. I absolutely love the taste of their sauce and the crust is always perfect.

The variety of items they offer is very vast and you can find something in virtually any price range you are looking in. Things can get kinda pricey but just keep an eye on your budget.

Ok maybe it isnt starbucks and you cant get the same frappucinno at dunkin donuts that you can get at starbucks but this is a great place tograb a cup of fresh brewed good tasting coffee at a great price. Besides the coffee they have wonderful varieties of fresh made donuts and breakfast sandwiches. I even have been known to grab a bagle or two to take to work.

Panera is a great chain fast food type restaurant that doesnt feel like fast food. I love being able to grab a nice hearty inexpensive lunch here and sit with my lap top and work on things. The atmosphere is really comfortable and relaxed and you feel right at home from the first minute. Dont miss out on their bread bowls filled with hot soup they are absolutely the best around.

Bath and Body works is an all around really great store. They have fabulous soap type products for any need. I am addicted to the antibactial hand soap for all of my sinks. Once you use this you just cant go back to the walmart kinds. This is a great place to get gift baskets for any kind of special occassion too. I personally shop the day after the holidays and they are typically half off.

I am a big fan of Walgreens Drug Stores. I absolutely hate having to use those cards at other drug store to get the sale prices. If you look thru the ads for Walgreens then you can really find some great deals on lots of everyday kinda items that people need. They pharmacy typically is pretty fast with refills and has most prescriptions in stock. they do have a phot department too with great prices.

Jewel is a great chain grocery store. The stores are always kept clean and well organized. Even though this location can be jam packed after work hours on weekdays the aisles are still pretty wide and its relatively easy to get around. If you check their sale items you can really save some money and keep to a budget easier too. Overall my only suggestion is more cashiers in the busy time.

Jennifer Convertibles is a great place to get very classic not too fancy cheap furniture. The variety is really good and not too flashy or the type that goes out of style tomorrow. I have always found the quality of their items to be really good and hold up well over time considering the low cost. The staff at this location is also very helpful but not pushy. Skip their delivery though its way too expensive.
