This restaurant is always my family's first dinner out when we get to the beach.
The food is so good, the ingredients are of such quality, that it is like a little slice of heaven to eat there!
We come back, year after year, and are never disappointed.
The staff is always so gracious, and knowledgeable!
They are always willing to help modify a menu item based as needed, and will tell you if it's not a good idea (because the food wouldn't be the same without a specific ingredient.)
While it doesn't have a kid's menu - they are welcome there. We've always sat outside so we wouldn't bother other patrons.
We love this restaurant, and wish we could go there all the time, not just once a year.

The pizza is on a very thin crust, more like a cracker than the usual pizza crust.

The pizza is a little sweeter too, but good in it's own way.
They also have a typical selection of Italian food, pastas, calzones and so on.
The selection for kids is pretty good too, but the usual kid's menu items.
The bread stick, soup and salad is a great choice. It remind's me of Olive Garden's, but not quite the same taste.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food comes out a little more quickly than you'd expect.
Overall, it is not expensive.
It's a quick, inexpensive, easy way to have dinner out nearby.

Brookside Gardens is a wonderful morning trip with the kids.
Right near the main entrance is the children's fair garden. There are flowers, a little house, a bridge and more to look at. There is a list of things to find hiding among the flowers.
As you continue on, there is a gorgeous lake and an Asian inspired gazebo to explore. While resting there, we saw several families of turtles and some really big fish! We got some great photos!
They have another area with more cultivated flowers and a 'wedding gazebo' which was great to get a picture under.
They are well known for the butterfly garden, and they have guided presentations to teach you all you want to know.
They offer a variety of classes year round, from summer scientific camps to storytelling with a bonfire.
In the winter, they have a lighted winter garden (think Christmas lights) that you can walk through.
We love brookside gardens - it's a great morning out with the family.

The classes are at all times of the day, and they have several geared toward home-schooled children.
The classes range in content from dance, to performing arts, to music and singing.
They have a large variety of summer camps as well, perfect for any aspiring artist, dancer or actor!
We have taken several classes there, attended camp there for several years and gone to some of the free concerts they hold at night in the summertime.
The value is outstanding!
The building itself is gorgeous inside and out.
An incredible addition to Germantown.

We have participated in the Summer and Winter camps for several years now, and most recently we have taken a class.
We LOVE them!
The Summer camp is very flexible.
It ranges in age from 3yrs old (potty trained) to 8+.
The camp is 3 hours long, with free play, instruction, lunch and arts and craft time.
You can sign up for one week or many, for three days a week or for five.
They do a great job at monitoring the various age groups and have several staff members work with the kids at one time.
They do not have a high staff turnover rate, and at least a few of the teachers are actual gymnasts themselves.
They teach appropriate usage of the REAL gymnastics equipment, though they don't have a 'team.'
The classes are great, with a theme each week for the kids to work on.
They move the equipment around every week, which makes the environment much more stimulating.
Can't say enough good about them!

The staff was friendly and the selection adequate.
They also have some videos for free rental in the kid's section. Yup, free! They are very old - but great for the younger kids.
They've kept pace with Blockbuster's policies, so you can keep what you rent for a week.
They have previously viewed videos and dvd's for sale, as well as candy and popcorn.
They also have an area with blocks for the kids to play with.
Not a bad choice if you don't want to do online dvd rental!

The prices are about $10 for kids and $50 for a women's haircut - but I do think this depends on the stylist.
I've gotten fantastic cuts and color and highlights there for years.
I wouldn't go anywhere else.
They also offer nails, pedicures, massages, makeup application and facials.
They have a line of products as well as products by other well known beauty suppliers.
They also use Dermologica facial products.
They always have something new to try!

They have a great selection in scrap booking, paints, wedding, flowers, yarn, and picture frames.
They also have a good section on kid's crafts, as well as Thomas the Tank Engine train stuff! (usually on sale too!)
In the front of the store is a great dollar section of toys and kits for the kids.
They also usually have an eclectic selection of scarves, hats, mittens, socks, blankets and other seasonal items.
Their prices are usually rock-bottom, but they have a full range of casual crafting supplies to supplies an expert would want.
I love this craft store, and would visit every day if I had the money!

Last year our outdoor unit on our HVAC unit stopped working.
As it was not under warranty any longer, we solicited quotes for a new outdoor unit.
Hoffaker's was the best company that we got a quote from, great prices and fantastic information.
They really helped educate us on what our HVAC system did and what was needed.
They also helped us decide which features would help with our family's seasonal allergies, and which weren't worth the money.
They also asked us if our past unit was adequate at heating and cooling, and helped us to determine what size unit would make us most comfortable.
The best thing, though, is that they got our new unit (indoor and out) installed in one day and during a heat wave at the start of summer! The other companies were saying we'd have to wait weeks!
And here we are, one year later, very comfortable.

The Home Depot in Germantown is not worth the convenience.
The store is not laid out well and items are hard to find.
The staff is not easy to locate and when they do help you - they don't always...

The staff is not easy to locate and when they do help you - they don't always know their stuff.
The prices are generally higher than at Lowe's.
In-store pickup of items ordered over the internet is not always well run. I've had to wait 45min upon occasion to pick up items.
They do have a good outside gardening area, with a pretty good selection.
All in all, we try very hard not to go to that store, but to go to other hardware stores instead.
