IKEA is full of value.
It's not the IKEA of yesterday.
The furniture is well made and sturdy, and the knick-knacks are of many decorating styles.
The College Park IKEA has a great parking lot, easy to negotiate, with plenty of 'family' designated parking space in the front.
When you walk inside, look for a catalog and a paper/map and pencil to write down what you find. They also have tape measures available.
The drop-off kid's play area is a lot of fun, but it's limited to 1hour on busy days. They give you a beeper so you can be called back if your child needs you.
Don't forget to stop and get a snack!
The kid's meals are usually .99c, and the adults range from about $3 to $6. The food is great quality too.
It's a great place to meet up with girlfriends and just SHOP, eat some lunch and SHOP.
Don't forget the kid's section with toys and dinnerware up near the food area. It has some of the best values around!

On several occasions, I have gotten digital photos processed at Walmart, and picked them up at the store.
The upload process is fairly simple, and didn't take incredible amounts of time.
Often, walmart had the best per photo price in town.
If you pick up in the store, there is no associated shipping cost.
The photos themselves were good quality, no complaints.
The staff were friendly, and my order quickly located.
The parking lot is horrible though, and the store itself is always crowded and hard to maneuver through.
Generally the lines to checkout at Walmart are awful, and not worth the trip.
I managed to purchase only my photos, and pay for them on-line, which made the checkout lines unnecessary.
Check prices, they may be the way to go.

When we entered the cafe, we were impressed with the environment they managed to evoke in a small, strip-mall cafe. The hustle and bustle faded away.
The server was very friendly - and she brought out a 'taste' of 4 of their soups in these cute little glass mugs.
We tasted Asparagus and Tomato Basil, to name a few.
Each of the soups were out of sight, and prompted 2 of the 4 people in our party to order them.
The rest of the menu is a kind of french-inspired fusion.
There are a lot of interesting items, include sandwiches served on 'waffle bread.'
The waffle bread is not sweet, but it does look as though it was made in a waffle iron.
The prices were reasonable, and the staff extremely friendly.
It was also child friendly, as they brought out a huge cup of crayons and individual coloring books.
This cafe is well worth it, especially for those who love soup!

When it comes to pediatric pulmonology, there is no other place to go.
Dr Rosenberg is so knowledgeable in the treatment of asthma - that he really is the best choice in town.
It took a year to 'convince' a pediatrician that my child had non-typical asthma, and Dr Rosenberg (once consulted) had a really practical view on diagnosis and treatment.
While speaking with him, I learned that my old pediatrician prescribed the asthma medicine inappropriately (not unsafely - just so that it would be useless.)
His staff is super friendly and very helpful with the required forms to have medicine dispensed in a school.
The toys are great (truly) and you never have to wait long.
Even though most of the kids being treated are seriously sick at times, it's a happy place.
At the end, the kids get once piece of candy! A real treat, in the eyes of the kids.

Dr Carol Plotsky is an incredible pediatrician.
She is interested in the wellness of your child, AND of your family.
She is down to earth, and very practical in her solutions for you and your family.
She gets to know you, and your child well.
Dr Plotsky has children herself, and is practical about what it takes to raise children.
I really felt that I had a partner in raising my kids - another reliable source to turn to.
Her staff is very friendly and helpful.
The nurse call line is very responsive, and offers realistic, great advice.
The response to sick kids, and being seen that day, is fantastic.
The waiting room is very kid friendly - sometimes my kids want to stay and play with the toys again AFTER the appointment is over.
This practice is fabulous!
Dr Schwartz is also a fantastic pediatrician - with the same outlook and perspective as Dr Plotsky.
They are conveniently located off of Shady Grove Rd, near the Hospital.

This is a great doctors office for adults.
I think Dr Plotsky is one of the best, most down to earth doctors around.
He recommends a common sense approach to problems, and takes the time to know you.
It is fairly easy to schedule appointments, though right before a holiday - and on Fridays - it can be a bit tough to get in.
They have a nice waiting room with pretty recent magazines, though there are no toys provided for little ones.
They allow kids in the examination room with you, as needed.
The nurse practitioner is FANTASTIC! She is very knowledgeable and easy to get an appointment with. It's kind of like talking with your mom, but a mom that can diagnose and write prescriptions.
I really like the practice, and will continue to see them.

We've been using Clopper Mill Dental for years.
The main doctor, Dr Teitler, is not the friendliest - but the staff he hires are.
The office is newly renovated, able to serve many more people at a time.
They have a great section/area for the kids to play while the adults are being seen.
They see adults and children, though they are not specifically a pediatric dentist.
You generally do not have to wait long for an appointment, and they can usually fit emergency work in.
They have pretty flexible hours, evenings and weekends are available.
They are good with the insurance, but they do expect their portion (that insurance won't pay) that day.
They always have 'new client' specials available, ask first and you can save a lot of money.
At your checkup, they will go over all of your teeth and propose a written treatment plan for any work that needs to be done. This plan includes your cost, so you can budget effectively.
It's as friendly a place as a dentist office can be - with good doctors and nice staff.

The 'French toast' bagel is particularly good (so soft and sweet!)
I love the Asian Chicken salad - it has crunchy noodles, chicken and almonds - and only 400 calories per serving!
The Tuscan chicken sandwich is great too, as is the Asiago Roast Beef.
The kids love the fruit cups and the incredible selection of tempting pastries.
We have always had good service here, except late on Sunday night, before closing. They seem to run out of a lot of things then!
Prices are around $6 for a salad, and $6 for a sandwich. The pastries and bagels are much less.
Try them, you'll love it!

They serve great, chewy, thick pizza crust-pizza. Period.
The pizza is great, the crust is fabulous.
The ingredients are fresh, and the price is more than Dominoe's - but then so is the quality!
The menu includes other Italian specialties (the eggplant parmensan is awesome!) as well as sandwiches and more.
The house salad is only ok, but the balsamic house dressing is great!
They are VERY friendly to kids, and are always willing to bring out an extra plate, cup or a bowl of olives.
We think it's simply the best pizza, and are very glad they now deliver to the Germantown area!
The other great part about it, is that it's located in the Kentlands. It's nice to take a stroll around the town center after you eat, and work off some of those calories!

We love this hotel.
They have only suites, and every room has a balcony over the ocean.
The hotel is at the quite end of the beach, near the inlet.
They include continental breakfast every day, a nice money-saving feature.
The room layout is as follows:
You enter in the large bedroom (king sized bed) go through a hallway (the bathroom is located off of this) into the dining/kitchen/living room area. The couch folds out into a queen size bed. Continue on, and you get to the balcony which overlooks the beach and ocean below.
The rooms are comfy, the kitchen pretty well stocked.
The refrigerator is very small, but fine for what you need.
There is a real grocery store down Laskin Highway (ask at the desk) or a quick-mart almost directly across the street,
We like the quiet atmosphere, and that the carnival is within walking distance - but not so close it interrupts your sleep.
