McDonald’s is my all time favorite restaurant. I fell in love with the Big Mac, their chicken nuggets, the filet o fish sandwich, the fries, and who could forget their McFlurries. If you were looking for a great restaurant to eat at, but cannot afford too much, McDonald’s is the restaurant for you. Great quality food, always great service, and to me they have the cleanest restrooms of any fast food establishment.

Kamakura Japanese Restaurant is the finest Japanese restaurant in the Champaign-Urbana area. They have a great late night menu with cheap sushi for those of you looking for the freshest sushi in Champaign County. They are very friendly and the sushi chefs are actually Japanese (a rarity today!) so they must know what they are doing. Make sure to also try to pork or chicken cutlets as they are one of my favorites there!

My favorite things there are the chicken fajitas which come out on this sizzling hot plate with loads of veggies like onions, green peppers, and spices and seasonings. You won’t see any fake Mexican food here as their main goal is to aim for quality and authenticity.

My favorite place to eat at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is Wendy’s for the simple reason that it’s cheap and filling. When you are a poor college student like me, looking to just fill up your stomach you cannot beat the 99 cent value menu at Wendy’s with chicken nuggets, jr bacon cheeseburgers, baked potatoes, fries, cheeseburgers, and the list goes on and on and on. If you’re looking for a quick eat on a small budget go to a Wendy’s near you where everything is made fresh to order.

Legends Bar is a very classy bar on campus. You won’t find the typical drunk college undergraduate student there but you will find more mature and older graduate students usually. Everyone there is very social and they are nice people to talk to. Drinks are on the expensive side but you are paying for a nicer and cleaner environment. I have never tried the food there so I cannot comment on that, but overall I would give this bar 2 thumbs up!

Buffalo Wild Wings in Champaign is the best place for wings in central Illinois. Tuesdays are my favorite day of the week because they serve 35 cents wings in all kinds of flavors my favorite being, Caribbean jerk, Thai, and the spicy garlic. They are just mouthwatering thinking about all those succulent and delicious wings! Don’t forget to get their burgers as well as they are good too. Any other day of the week they are overpriced, so be sure to go on Tuesdays.

I would say this is the perfect place for a first date as it has a very romantic ambience and setting to it. They offer great tasting foods all cooked mostly by students who live on campus. Their fondue is simply delicious and this place is probably the only place where you can get fondue in central Illinois.

In my opinion, Starbucks is the best café at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus town. I love the caramel frappucinos they have which are just loaded with whipped cream and caramel topping. In addition, it is priced very reasonably and the atmosphere they provide is just superb. They also have a great selection of teas that are very aromatic and pleasing to your senses.

The best place for ice cream at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus town is Cold Stone Creamery. All I can say is that every time I go into the store it smells of baked cookies and ice cream and the sweet things that remind me of the warm weather to come. They have absolutely the best mix-ins for their ice cream and they taste just orgasmic! You cannot leave campus town without going to Cold Stone Creamery.
