To steal a word my wife coined: SCRUM-DIDDLY-ISCIOUS best sums up the taste of the food at the Black Eyed Pea. I am only sorry to say the one near my hometown closed. Anywho, let's talk about this one: super menu selection of Southern type foods with a good variety of non-fried foods. Yea for our hearts! Their meatloafs tastes like mom's! Desserts are quite tasty! Prices are very reasonable especially for the size servings. Service is always excellent. During the weekend, there is usually a wait -- but that is a sign of a yummy place to eat! Think I need to go back to Hendersonville to get some Black Eyed Pea food!
