The decor is kind of odd (tacky really, but it's endearing). Good for dates. They also do a good take-out business. Quite yummy!

I think I had the crispy pad thai there...it was ok, but not great. I prefer Chilli Duck, it's much much better. The food's decent, but if you walk a little further you can have even better Thai food.

The entrees are pricey, but the tapas are not. If you go, get the tapas sampler (it's 10 for $10). They're bite sized tapas, but I've been told they're great. I myself, being a vegetarian, have been unable to partake. Instead, I shell out $15+ for the veggie entree (which while good, probably isn't worth it). The sangria rocks though! They have Salsa nights on Thursday. Their brunch menu on the weekends is also very reasonable ($9.99) for 3 courses. The restaurant's really dark though.

I had pretty high expectations from what I had heard, but it was a let down. Went for restaurant week since the prices are usually more than I'd like to pay. The food was good, but not inspired and not particularly wonderful. I did have a really good (but expensive) non-alcoholic fruit drink though. I don't think I'd recommend it. Apparently it's a really good place to go for drinks though.

Overall, I expected a lot more from Bomboa. The food just wasn't as impressive as the menu made it sound. They also only have one vegetarian option for an entree. They have good fries though, and they give you a whole bucket. The bread is also pretty good. I will say this though, their email promotions are great. If you sign up for their mailing list you get all kinds of coupons and discounts. They also send you coupons for your birthdays and anniversaries. And, if there's a big sports game going on, they sometimes do promos. The mojitos are very good. Creme brulee was ok. Does tend to get crowded later in the evening with people at the bar.

I was totally surprised by Typhoon. Usually restaurants that have different types of Asian cuisine are pretty bad, but they pull it off nicely. The food's more expensive than Chinatown, but you're basically paying for the attentive waitstaff and atmosphere. They have cloth napkins, which was a shocker. The menu is also quite huge. They also have a huge drink menu as well. If you go, sign up for their VIP club (it's free). They send you a gift certificate in the mail for signing up, and another one after your first 3 visits.

The name may be misleading, but this is actually an Indian restaurant owned by the same people as Bombay Club and Curry Leaf. It's very ritzy. Service was great, food was pretty good (maybe not worth the prices though). The weirdest thing was that they have tiramisu on their dessert menu.
