For the size of the town Colonial Mall is an appropriate size but for the population of the town the mall is much too small. They're working on it though. They recently added an entirely new wing and they are putting stores on the outside, like a sidewalk mall. I am used to Atlanta malls so it still bothers me that the department stores only have one floor but I'm getting used to it. They are definitely trying to get more age appropriate stores in the mall for the college population. There is now a Pacific Sunwear, and a Hot Topic and there's talk to a Spencer's although that may just be talk. I was really impressed when they put a Lane Bryant in so bigger girls can have clothes in Auburn/Opelika also.
