This place rocks my peverbial world. Everything I've had is done perfectly. Service is excellent- Chuck remembers names and preferences (most of the time) and is nice to boot. The kosher dogs are grilled and served up to order. The ammentities are equally impressive; he even has mayonaise (BOO!!!). Don't eat hot dogs? The Chicken sandwiches and Louisiana hot link are equally as good. Aside from your usual soft drinks, Italian sodas are also available- made from scratch. All this and it's just a hot dog stand. Suggestion- classically, sauerkraut and deli mustard.

Before I started keeping Kosher-style, I loved the brat appetizer. It was perfect- enough for a full meal. Although I would have included an option to have just a classic beer boiled brat, and none of the spiced spin-offs in the menu, all three sausages were really good. I've also had the milkshake and the fries which were both tasty. Outside of these, though, the fare has been disappointing. Everything else I've had here, which sound good in the menu, come out bland and disappointing.
The beer sampler is really nice. I've been surprised with the quality of the beer on occasion. Sometimes it comes out tasting a good bit stale. Any other restaurant I might dissappointingly shrug off, but come on, this is Sierra Nevada.

Morning Thunder has great atmosphere, but that is pretty much the limit. The food is just ok to good. There is nothing unique or exceptional on the menu, and that is how they serve it. If you need a huge portion, then I guess this place is good for that. It's no bargain though- the prices are at the upper limit for breakfast places, especially when the offerings are so common. Go to Sin of Cortez, and spend the same amount for a much better dining experience.
