Ulta is like a drugstore beauty department mixed with a department store cosmetic section. They have a great selection of lower end cosmetics and beauty items as well as what they call "prestige" lines. Their prices are always the lowest in town. They also send out advertisements with coupons about once a month. Their sales on drugstore cosmetics are always wonderful but the higher end hardly ever go on sale. They do have fairly good gift with purchases once in a while though.

CVS is on the top of my list when it comes to drugstores and pharmacies. They always have a great selection of items ranging from cosmetics, OTC medicine, and snacks. CVS is a great alternative to the big chain stores when you don't feel like walking a coupld of acres just to get some TP. The hours are pretty good too and the staff is very friendly. Don't hesitate to shop here!

Bloomingdale's Department store is owned by Federated, the same company that owns Macy's. The selection at Bloomingdale's is much better than Macy's and the prices are a little higher. The customer service at Bloomingdale's has a little to be desired when compared to that of its competitor Nordstrom. Perhaps Bloomingdale's should take a few tips from Nordstrom and realize that the customer is always right.

Nordstrom is an excellent department store with extremely friendly and helpful employees. Their selection is awesome with very trendy and hip clothing and shoes. The beauty and cosmetics department is huge and is like a store within itself. The prices are a little higher than Macy's and other department stores but the experience is worth the extra cost.

I have been to several concerts at Lakewood Amphitheater (now called Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheatre). The venue is a great place to see you favorite performer or band. They have lots of parking available but I am pretty sure you have a pay a pretty hefty price for it. Inside the venue there is a section of covered seating and then general admission seating on the lawn.

The World of Coke is a fun place for the first time or two that you visit- after that it can get a little boring and dull. The museum is interesting because you can learn about the history of Atlanta's favorite soft drink- Coca Cola; however, after one trip you see everything there is to see. The best part is the end where you get to sample various sodas from around the world. This is a great place to take friends and family from out of town.

Six Flags Over Georgia is a great amusement park with thrilling rides and experiences. The tickets are a little costly and the food is very pricey but it is worth the cost for the fun rides. The best roller coaster is Superman where you ride parallel to the ground. Other great rides include Batman, The Mindbender, and Deja Vu. Expect to do a lot of walking and spend a good deal of money for lunch but you'll still have a great time.

Stone Mountain Park is full of fun and interesting things to do for the whole family. My favorite thing is the classic Laser Show that is shown nightly during the summer. They also have a nice village themed area that is fun for kids and has some cute shops. Climbing the mountain is a fun thing to do as well, but if you aren't in the best shape you can take the cable car up to the top.

I love going to Braves games at Turner Field during the summer. The stadium is huge and the atmosphere is exciting and fun. The food is pretty good but extremely expensive. The tickets are pretty reasonably priced and they have sales on occasion for even better deals. Parking is pretty easy & costs about $10- you can also take Marta.

The Georgia Aquarium opened in 2005 to much fanfare and hype. Our expectations were not let down though. It is the world's largest aquarium and home to many exotic and unique creatures. My favorite exhibit is the Arctic home of the Beluga Whales. The five whales are so beautiful and it is awesome to watch them swim around in their tank. Tickets are reasonably priced but the best deal is a season pass. Make sure you eat lunch before you get there because the cafeteria is pretty expensive.
