I had my hair done by Yolanda. The salon was very clean, and had a very upbeat atmosphere. I wasn't sure what I wanted, and Yolanda first did my highlights and lowlights, and then gave me some time with a few magazines. I was also given skinny post-it strips to mark the styles that I liked, which impressed me. It's a great idea, and much more convenient than attempting to hold pages in various magazines. Yolanda came over a few times to check out what styles I was leaning towards and to see how I was doing. When I was done, we looked at the styles, and she was very good at picking up on the things I wanted but couldn't quite explain. When she was done with the cut and had finished drying and styling my hair, I was ecstatic. Best of all, she made sure that I knew what she was doing and what products she was using when she was styling, which made it much easier for me to recreate at home, and gave me a few tips about things I could do differently for better results. Although it's not near my home and a little pricey, getting my hair done at Regis Salon is worth it!

Deals is the BEST dollar store that I have ever been to. They have everything! I've gotten various things for my home, from decorative items to necessities like cleaning supplies. And their food selection is great! I've been able to find plenty of things that can be brought to work and eaten either as a snack or a small meal. It's also a great place to stock up on essentials. Their fresh food isn't always the freshest, but that's to be expected. I was craving a salad one day and purchased a bag of lettuce that had a sell-by date of that day. When the cashier noticed that it didn't have much life left in it, she marked it down to $.25. Very unexpected, and very appreciated! I take all my friends here when they visit from out of town.

It seems as though the recent visits that I've had to Denny's on Brown Deer Rd. have ended in disappointment. On my last visit, on a Sunday afternoon, there was a short wait for a table. After we were seated, it was nearly ten minutes before our drink order was taken. My fiance received his drink after a short wait, while my coffee took nearly ten more minutes. Another five minute wait, and our order was taken. The food arrived relatively cold, and did not have an appealing appearance. While the servings were a decent size, the service and food are not worth the prices.

Quality Candy/Buddy Squirrel is one of my favorite stores in Bayshore Mall. The store is clean and neat, and the employees are fast and well informed. While the prices are relatively high, you get your money's worth! The chocolate is the best, and the fresh nuts beat anything you can buy at a grocery store or in a can. If you're near a store before Easter, be sure to check out the 65 lb solid chocolate bunny. It's huge!
