They are a large, well-stocked store. They are a good source for music, electronics, media, computers and peripherals and supplies. I've bought most of those items there at one time or anothe, most recently an external CDRW deck, with CDR media.
The traffic pattern in that particular mall is not great, hovever parking is usually available.
This is among the better Best Buy stores.

I may have them hook me up with a banner for my band.
Highly recommended.

They did have a sign on the door saying that they only sell to beauty professionals. I figured they were kidding. What kind of business turns away customers/
So, unless you qualify as part of their exclusive clientele, don't waste your time.

There's an Office Depot with more floor space within a block. I don't know why Staples opened up here to begin with.
Today, I was looking for an ink refill. Staples didn't stock the item. Office Depot did.
Case closed.

Staples opened up recently about a mile and a half away from my house, and just a block away from am office depot.
It's a fairly small store - they are in half of what used to be a Circuit City store.
The selection is fairly limited and their prices for the same items are consistently slightly higher than Office Depot.
Last week, I was looking for a sign holder, which they were showing as in stock, but they could not find it.
It's not likely I will go back and I likely will not use their web site because their prices are higher than Office Depot.

We have bought several items from them over the years, most recently being a replacement General Electric in-sink disposall.
They have an excellent online store and I was able to locte the unit I wanted and check stock. I finished the order by calling in and scheduling a delivery date.
Their showroom is also extensive. I bought a TV a few years ago after looking at the ones on display.
They are an excellent vendor - well worth using if you liv in the Chicago area.

Bell's Brewery of nearby Michigan recently ceased distributing their great products in Illinois because of a dispute with their distributor. This came to light about a month ago and no one seems to think that this is going to be cleared up anytime soon.
Bell's is one of the best microbrews around, putting out many beers, including seasonal and limited edition variteties through the modwest, only not Illinois any more. Their products are almost always tremendous, and I am going to miss them.

I was looking for a deal on the new Korg metronome, the KDM2. I did a web search and found that they were tied with several web sites for the lowest price at $59.95 and were providing free shipping.
I ordered it and got the unit right away. They were easy to deal with and I can recommend them. They did a great job.

Backun musical services has been well known to clarinetists for sereval years.
Morrie Backun, the owner, is not head of clarinet design for Conn-Selmer (and Leblanc) instruments, having designed the new LeBlanc Cadenza clarinet.
I tried a couple Cadenzas while at the LeBlanc Factory in Kenosha, WI, ultimately selecting the slightly more expensive Concerto II model. However, I enjoyed how the specially designed ringless Backun barrel, made of cocobolo wood, sounded on my concerto II, and so I ordered one of the barrels from the Backun web site.
I got a great sounding barrel and the folks at Backun music were great to deal with. Backun also supplies bells and mouthpieces and are a clarinet player's dream.
I recommend them highly.

The G. Leblanc factory in Kenosha is where Leblanc clarinets, Yanagisawa saxophones, Selmer Saxophones and more instruments get assembled in the US. The base components come from France (Selmer, LeBlanc) or Japan.
Through a contact, I recently selected a lovely LeBlanc Concerto II clarinet there a few weeks ago, which I bought through a dealer. I also own two Yanagisawa saxophones, a curved soprano sax and sopranino sax, which play great.
While there, I also tried other LeBlanc clarinet models, Rapsodie ($799 street price), Sonata ($1150), and Cadenza (~1500), all of which played great. i recommend their clarinets and saxophones.
