Not as good as we thought

On a recent visit, we got cupcakes and brownies, which were adequate, but not as good as I expected, given the bakery's reputation. I had seen it on a couple of best of Chicago lists.
Earlier this week, my wife and sister in law got a whoopie pie, which is cake sandwiched around whipped cream. it was too sweet and not very tasty. They ended up getting rid of it.
What they have is geared toward a younger crowd, which is understandable because they are located near DePaul.
However, we won't be going back.
