We visited this mall on a rainy day while on vacation. It was very nice. It has a large carousel inside that the kids just loved! There is also a nice play area for children on the upper floor. The problem with it was, there were a ton of older children in there (obviously over the height limit) and were running over the smaller kids so we didn't play long. They have a large selection of stores inside including: Gap, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, Build A Bear, Dick's, Dillard's, etc. The were also several little stands throughout the center of the mall. On the upper floor were several places to grab a bite to eat. There is also a theater located outside the mall.

This hotel is located right on the oceanfront of Virginia Beach. I would say it was average in comparison to others we have stayed at.
The positives: Staff was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and always said hello in passing. The manager was very nice and helped me find things to do w/ our kids on a very rainy day. He also printed out directions to area attractions that were indoors. We booked online and got a pretty good rate (other hotels on the strip wanted $30+ more a night). The housekeeping did a great job cleaning our room daily. We had an excellent view from the balcony and easy access to the beach. The hotel had a parking garage that was well-lit and easy to get in/out of. Check-in is normally at 4pm, we arrived around 11:30am and were allowed to check-in early. I thought this was great after traveling w/ 5 year old twins!
The negatives: One elevator was broke down, yet no sign was posted. Visitors kinda passed along the word when they seen people waiting at the door. There was a good deal of rain one day (from Alberta) and the ceiling was leaking outside the working elevator (also leaked in rooms in that area). The pop machines would not work and the snack machines would only accept exact change, but there was not a change machine. They were renovating the pool, so it looked pretty dirty inside.
The good thing was, the negatives really had no direct effect on us. We had a very nice vacation in an affordable room.

We ate here while on vacation last week in Virginia Beach. Their food is GREAT!! I had pulled pork and used their mild sauce...very good! My husband had half a chicken and pulled pork w/ the spicy sauce and could barely get out of the seat he ate so much! It's not on the oceanfront strip, about a 10 min. drive away, but well worth the drive! The helpings are so huge, that we were able to make three more sandwiches out of the leftover pulled pork!
I also can not say enough about the staff here. We went before dinner rush, but our server checked on us several times and was super friendly!

I just LOVE craft stores and this place is pretty nice! It's located in Ontario, just down from the High School. They have a variety of wall decorations, outdoor items, candles, rugs and more. We purchased a nice rug their when we bought our house and it's still holding strong even w/ two 5 year old and a dog. It is locally owned and has a variety of crafters selling items there. I have always enjoyed the staff who are super friendly and willing to help.

The clothing at Old Navy is very cute for kids and the prices are pretty reasonable. One thing I dislike is the jeans they have. The quality of the rest of their clothing is pretty good, but I try to stay away from their jeans! If I buy my kids jeans there, they wear out in the knee *super* fast. If I buy myself jeans there, the bottoms are usually worn within a few months.

The Dollar Tree in Mansfield is a great store. Much better since they moved next door and are larger. They have a large selection of merchandise and everything is $1 or less. They have gifts, food, seasonal and even some clothing items. It's a great place to buy items to fill goody bags for birthday presents or the classroom. The staff is friendly and the aisles are easy to move about in.

My children love going to this library. They just finished up their round of story times until summer. We attended the Thursday evening story time for families. It such a nice time to spend with the kids. The librarian reads a few books and she's very good at getting the children involved in the stories. After books, she takes them out and does a craft that relates to the books read. She is excellent with the children and really enjoys helping them with the crafts.
As for adults, this library offers books, magazines, VHS, DVD's, etc. There are also computers available for use. It's a very nice, clean library with helpful and friendly staff.

The concession stand doesn't even look clean and don't take your children because you certainly would NOT want them using their bathrooms! They recently lowered their prices to $1.50 and I still will not consider watching a movie there even at that price.

The new Arby's on Fourth Street is 100% better then the one located on Park Avenue. The new location is right next to the mall, so it is very easy to get to. The restaurant is a good size and very bright and clean inside. The staff is friendly - they greet you when you walk in the door and shout a goodbye as you leave. The roast beef is excellent and they often run specials. My favorite here is the chocolate chip cookies - they taste great and you get 2 for .99!
