Good dresses, snobby attitude

I came here for a bridesmaid's dress for a friend's wedding. It's an upscale bridal store, so I kind of understand their snobbishness, but it's still really annoying. When I went to get measured, the woman made me buy a dress in a *much* larger size, which was also more expensive. When it came in, I then had to get it *majorly* altered, since it was then way too big for me!
