The Charles Theater shows films that you won't see in the big suburban megaplexes. They have a nice small-theater atmosphere even with five or six screens. The lobby has tables and chairs and you can get drinks and snacks from the cafe next door while you wait for your showing. Their snack bar is good too---seems cheaper than the big commercial places and they have good popcorn! The place is neat and clean for the most part. Be sure to try the tapas place next door---it's excellent.
