This is a great place to take an ailing dog or cat, or for boarding or grooming. The doctor is very nice and thorough and laid all my options out for me clearly, My cat got good care there, and the staff is very nice and flexible. One possible down side is that it's walk ins only, no appointment, so I've had to wait an hour plus at times in order to be seen. But it's fun in the waiting rooms talking to pets and pet owners (they can be a chatty bunch!)

Most bothersome, however, is their sad attempt to "court" female customers into doing business with them. The nice young man conspicuously held my door open for me (it was so weird) and they left a carnation and an f-ing mint in my car. I don't know who there decided that is how women want to be treated but it felt totally inappropriate to me and I want to dissuade folks from supporting them with business. I wonder what they do for male customers, spap them on the back and leave a copy of Sports Illustrated in the seat?

I love this place. $21 dollar oil change, service provided in a minimum of three languages. They're very responsible, fast and friendly. Very efficient, they don't try to push a bunch of unnecessary repairs on you. There is a $65 diagnostic fee, so I wouldn't bring it there for a repair unless I knew for sure I needed work done. The credit is applied to the cost of your repair. I've been very pleased, and it's way better to support a locally-owned business in the Rainier Valley then going to some huge chain.

The NW Network is a phenomenal resource for queer folks. You can get one-on-one advocacy in dealing with issues related to partner abuse and manipulation, safety planning, and long term healing. They also offer an amazing Relationship Skills class that I recommend to EVERYONE. I have learned a tremendous amount about communication and developing healthy relationships in communities, and how to support friends who are in challenging relationships. The Network also has a kick-ass analysis about how racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia play can play out in interpersonal relationships. If you have any questions, please call them. You will get excellent support. This is also an amazing organization to support with donations and other help.
