Another classic ice cream store is Maple Grove Farms, located just outside Chapel Hill. Start as an outlet for the milk fat they were producing from the increase demand of skim milk. Maple Grove Farms has become a favorite in the Triangle. This locally owned dairy not only produces some of the best ice cream in the area, but produces some of the best milk. The milk is still sold in glass bottles.
