City definitely wins at this New York bar although you will find touches of the west like "glass" elk heads and a lodge style fireplace. The space feels great; however, if you want to have a conversation with someone, the front room does not lend itself to chatting. It is loud and there is little room to sit where you are not in the way of the bar. I never made it in the back room so I am not sure if it was better back there. I would be interested in any feedback.

I wasn't sure to what to expect but overall Punch is a good choice to grab a bit to eat. It is a trendy, hip restaurant with a good variety of food with a range of prices. I got the tuna sandwich with a good sized salad (you have a choice between that or fries) and I would recommend it. My husband had the lobster/crab roll with coleslaw and fries and he also thought it was very good. The sandwiches are fairly reasonably priced. Our friend got the tuna and he was disappointed in it. The tuna was small and the black rice was not enjoyable. Overall, I am not in any rush to go back but I would eat their again in the future.

I only had one experience at Wavelengths getting my eyebrows waxed and I would never go back. It was $17 for a wax which I feel it ridiculous. It is not that difficult to do a good job waxing...

It is not that difficult to do a good job waxing eyebrows and you can go to Lee Nails by The Southpoint Mall for $8. I have also heard from many people that the haircuts are also terrible. It seems that they are scissor happy at Wavelengths and everyone's hair it much too short when they leave. It was less then a mile from my house but I drive Chapel Hill to get my hair cut.

Peanut Butter & Co. is an interesting concept and the food quality is fine; however, I found it to be a bit pricey. It seems fun every once and awhile and it is definitely novel the first time you visit but I feel it is difficult to pay 4.00 for PB & J sandwhich on a regular basis. I did like their milkshakes! It may just be that I am not the hugest PB & J fan.....

MacKenzie River Pizza company has great pizza with unique options for toppings. Being a non-meat eater in MT was not easy but a MacKenzie, you could order the Catch and Release, a vegetarian pepperoni pizza--yum. They also have great bread stick and a salad complete with pears and grapenuts. The restaurants hold true to MT with log benches and animals galore but are unique in their pizza creations. They also serve a wide variety of microbrews. Be sure to check them out!

My most favorite place to grocery shop is Wegman's in Bethlehem, PA. Wegman's is not only an upscale full grocery store but is a great place to grab a bite to eat, meet a friend for coffee, shop for kitchen items or browse an extensive stationary collection. They have a wide variety of food inlcuding gourmet and organic as well as their own store brand. Their store brand is even great quality. It makes grocery shopping a task that is fun to do!

Magnolia Bakery where Carrie and the Sex in the City women went is really that good. To be honest they cake part is nothing extraordinary but the frosting is amazing. I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes but it was worth it. They bring the cupcakes out on platters and you are allowed to get 1 dozen per person. At $1.75, they are a reasonable treat. Definitely check it out on Bleecker in the Village.

The Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill, NC is the place to go when you need a haircut. It is a training school for Aveda stylists therefore making it an affordable place to give new life to your look. The stylists are friendly, professional and are interested in impressing their peers and supervisors to they can get a job when they graduate. They are supervised by instructors ensuring that you will get something you want. It can be a bit slow as they do take their time and they do need approval before they can move on. However, the complimentary mini facial and reasonable prices make this a great place to go. I still love the hair cut I go three months ago. I am even taking time out of visit back to NC to go get a cut and color.

Do you love ice cream? Well then Madison has the place for you..McCool's Ice Cream Parlour. They have been awarded the best milkshake in NJ by the New Jersey magazine. They also have great ice cream flavors as well as soft ice cream and soft frozen yogurt. The soft frozen yogurt is out of this world. If you are in Madison be sure to stop on Main Street no matter the weather or time of year.

Haviing grown up in PA, my husband and I are addicted to pizza. We have lived all over the country dreaming of the day we would be back in this area to be able to get a good slice whenever we want. The pizza is smokin' at the Firehouse. They have traditional to speciality as well as great soups, appetizers and other italian dishes. It's BYOB so bring your favorite beer or bottle of wine and prepare to enjoy. I would highly recommend it!
