Jamba juice is the best smoothie place I have stumbled across. They offer a big variety of smoothies from the typical mixed juice flavors to some healthier choices to boost immune systems and fight away colds. This is a great healthy alternative to skipping lunch or grabbing fatty fasat food items. They also can customize anything to your liking too.

Instead of grabbing some greasy sandwich at a typical fast food restaurant I really love the options that Au Bon Pan offers. They offer a lot of variety and even some nice items that are meatless. The tuna salad is really fabulous and their rolls are very tasty. It's really hard to get tired of eating their with the big selection they offer. It's also a great place to grab a bowl of hot soup on a cold Chicago day.

I was on Devon one day with a friend who mentioned Jumbo for Halal Chinese food. When we were walking in I noticed it didnt seem to clean but tried to look past it. I read the articles they had posted everywhere about how they serve halal but was shocked and taken back by the statues of Buddah everywhere. I promptly walked out and left wondering how they could serve halal and have idols. Talk about confusing.

IHOP is nothing spectacular but it is a good old standby. If you are looking for a fast place to grab a bite to eat at odd hours then you just cant drive by IHOP. The service is typically nothing special and the atmosphere is what it is. I would usually get a waffle as it's pretty hard to mess that up.The prices aren't bad and the portions are big.

The service staff is fantastic and is very helpful if you need suggestions. The food is served fresh and doesnt wait around in the back. The presentation of the items is so fantastic you wont want to eat them.

Noon O Kabab offers really fresh food and good quality. They offer a really tasty filet kabab and lamb kabab. I typically would get takeout because they tend to be pretty busy and you might feel a bit rushed by the servers. The portions are big though and you will have more than enough to share although I love the dill rice so much that it's pretty hard to share.

Although there isnt anything really remarkable about the menu here I still love being able to get a halal hamburger or italian beef sandwich. This is the only restaurant I know of that offers halal americanized food which can really come in handy when you arent in the mood for Indian food or Middle east food. The prices are ok and they do offer some nice lunch specials.

Reza's is a really nice restaurant to get good persian food and Kabab. The restaurant is always spotless and the service staff is well trained and courteous. I absolutely love the Kabab choices they offer including scallop and turkey breast. They also offer a really nice lunch buffet at roughly 10 dollars. The portions are good size and you typically will have enough to take home.

If you are looking for a great meal on a budget then Ghareeb Nawaz is the perfect place. They have a really nice plate of chicken biryani and it is around 4 bucks. Be warned for this price you have to sacrifice things like atmosphere. I would never eat inside and typically this is a taxi driver hangout. It also isnt the cleaniest but you can learn to overlook those things when the food is so good.
