The apparel at Anthropologie is beautiful. The stitching is amazing. The quality is top-notch. The styles are unique, original, and stylish. However, this store is very expensive (skirts in the hundreds). They also sell bed and bath things and home goods. Their sheets are very comfortable, and they carry neat velvet-flowered pillows. I also brought a pair of butterfly-gemmed closet knobs (for only $18); they're gorgeous. Check out the website and ask for subscription to their free catalogue. I live for their catalogue.

I don't really like Old Navy because the clothes are a bit bland. But if you want to get some affordable khakis, underwear, scarves, shirts, this is a good place to shop. They use to have a really big sale rack in the back that's no longer there. Or it's become smaller. I love rummaging through the sales racks because sometimes you can find unbelievable things for under $10: e.g., a blue sequined/satin skirt for $8.

I am a huge fan of Beard Papa's cream puffs- they're light and fluffy, and the cream inside- cold, sweet, and almost too delicious to believe. The place is very trend, full of wild, bright colors, and while the prices can be a bit high (though the salads here are average-priced I think), the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is wonderful. The only downside is the location. It's not exactly located at a scenic area of Manhattan; the street outside is busy and hectic; not the ideal spot for lunch. But go for the food!

This is also an extremely nice copy of the Russian classic. The cover is smooth and the papers are extra thick...thus making the book extra bulky, but it's sturdy and will sustain many train rides and coffee spills.

It's hardcover, it's light, it'll fit nicely into your backpack for when you want to rondevous through the park.
