I work across the street from this mall, and it's great to be able to run over and get what you need from Target, The Rack, Old Navy, etc. Also, Wild Caper is a delicious Greek cafe, and Goldberg's is a great deli. But it is certainly aimed at the discount stores vs. the next tier up - Old Navy not Gap, that sort of thing. Also, they have a children's museum that is to die for. I'd call it more of a science center than a museum, but my kids love it!

I love to buy furniture here - deck furniture, occasional tables, and household items like shower curtains and throw pillows. Their things have so much personality that you can spend all day looking through them. And as a plus, they usually aren't terribly expensive.

It's really nice to have this right by the mall. I used to be a Border's fan in Santa Barbara because it was a cute little bookshop. This one is ENORMOUS and it loses a little personality. I'd prefer to wander through Barnes and Noble or really Third Place Books. BUT - I'm very glad to have one stop shopping at the mall and not have to make the run over to B&N.

PAWS is a tremendous place - they have cats and dogs for adoption, as well as bunnies and smaller animals, and they do wildlife rescue. My one gripe (and this isn't really their fault) is that this is a community that loves to rescue animals, so if you find one you want, chances are lots of others have also and you'll have to do a "lottery" to get your pet. But maybe go for the cat with the gimp leg and it won't be an issue. ;)

I often stop in for a pack of onesies, new binkies, the next car seat, whatever. The selection is fantastic, so if you need to try a few kinds of bottles or binkies or that sort of thing, you can get scads of them here!

It's also a great place to go with your child for a treat, because they have all kinds of stickers and little trinkets for pennies that you can buy for them without breaking your wallet. Sometimes kids just want *something*.

I just ask them for it and they place the order then call me when it's in. I can come in and buy it, or if I've found it elsewhere, they just put it on their shelf. Plus, I love the college feel!
