I always leave here with these grand visions in my head of the glorious, gourmet meals I'm going to produce, just from being so inspired by all the pretty cooking do dads in this store. So far, it hasn't happened. But it might, if I keep wandering through here on my lunch hour! This store has a wide assortment of pricey pots, pans, casseroles, gadets, glassware, etc. all artfully displayed, which makes browsing here a lot of fun.

I don't "get" Zoopa. I guess I just don't get all excited about an all you can eat soup, salad and pasta bar - especially when it's lukewarm and mediocre at best. I've encountered cold sauce, undercooked pasta and limp lettuce at zoopa. If I want a salad bar for lunch or dinner, I'll head to Alfy's any day over Zoopa!

Walk into market spice and your sense of smell instantly kicks into overdrive - in a good way. They have an enormous collection of bulk spices and loose leaf teas, as well as the famous "market spice" tea that comes in a box. I come here for sea salt and kosher salt and I am going to start buying my spices in bulk to save a lot of cash! (Just keep your spice bottles and fill them with the goodies you buy here.)

Whenever we need (ok, want) dungeness crab, we come to Jack's. You can't get much fresher than scooping the little doomed crustaceans out of the tank and tossing them into the boiler. (Sorry guys, but you taste SO good!)
They also have a great little lunch counter where you can get the usual fried stuff & fries - fish and chips, clams and chips, etc. There are a couple little tables nearby and of course there's the counter where you can eat.
Their prices on crab and fish may not be the best, but the service is excellent and it's always an enjoyable shopping experience.

No, it's not the most upper end store in the world, but it is what it is. And that is - a great place for basics, pants and tops and most especially shoes at terrific prices. I am always browsing their clearance racks and it's normal to find things like pants for $16 and skirts and tops in the $9ish range. I get a lot of my shoes here - and I rarely pay more than $25 a pair.
I'm bummed that they are leaving Washington!

Bellevue Square is a very nice mall, with all of the mainstream mall stores plus quite a few smaller, more unique stores as well. They have one of the few Crate and Barrels in the area, and it's a nice big, two level store. The only thing they lack is an actual food court - instead the food places are scattered all around, but I usually end up at Red Robin or PF Changs if I find myself in need of a bite.
It's gets extremely crowded on weekends and holidays and parking is a pain in the neck!

Young Flowers in Seattle does beautiful work. Today is my birthday and I arrived back from lunch to find a breathtaking arrangement of trpoical flowers on my desk, courtesy of my coworkers. There are pale orange roses, pale orange orchids, lilies, peonies and tropical leaves. The inside of the vase is wrapped with a banana leaf so that you can't see any unsightly stems - they're gorgeous!

This is the flagship store in downtown Seattle. I could spend hours and hours here. They have everything you need - for anything you might need to do outdoors. Like a previous reviewer, I always leave here ready to go hiking, biking, sky-diving - whatever! Someday I'm going to try the famous rock wall in the entrance, but for now I'm content to watch and be amazed. Definitely check out the twice yearly garage sales!

Coldwater creek is a very pretty store with an actual creek that runs right through the center of the store. I think their clothing looks nice and seems to be good quality. I don't generally buy clothes for myself here, as the styles seem to cater to an older crowd - but if that's what you're looking for, it's good stuff. I do really like their jewelry and have bought necklaces and earrings here.

The Rainforest Cafe is loads of fun. Even the long, long wait to get in is entertaining with the giant crocodile out front to keep you amused. My kids (and I!) especially enjoy the sparkling fish tanks and the rain forest action is quite amusing and sort of fun. It can get LOUD here - so you won't have to worry about your kids disturbing other diners. I thought the food was surprisingly good for a chain - the roast duck with bing cherries was very nice!
