If you like a huge zoo with every kind of animal known to man that takes a day to explore, this is not the place for you. The Akron Zoo is small and modest and you can easily do it in an afternoon - which makes it an ideal place for familes who have young children and toddlers.
There are still enough animals to WOW young and old, but the exhibits are so small that it feels more intimate, and they are close together so little ones do not get too tired.
It is cool and shady there in the summer because of the large and plentiful trees. The parking is close and plentiful.
This is a nice way to spend a warm afternoon with littler kids!
