I went in for post-its thinking it was reasonable to expect a sampling of office stuff since there was a post office.
I wanted the kind that just mark a page or point to where you need to sign. I had to navigate through a maze of "country" gift collectibles and flowery body products just to find the small office supply section. They had the 3x3 size and it was packed the size you'd have to buy at Costco...ok, whatever.
And then I thought, "Pharmacy = personal care...
I'll get some tampons while I'm here"...
Back through the maze, this gift and collectible stuff is soooo predictable, we've all seen it and I can't escape it! Well I looked and I looked and do you think I could even find a section resembling personal care?
So, I was done...TOO HARD!
I thought about putting back the post-its because they weren't even what I really wanted but I decided to get them. I stood in line behind a woman who had a basket brimming with the country stuff.
I apologize for judging that country stuff, I know some people really like it. Maybe the name should be Southgate Gift Store.

The theme is 80's throughout the Parlor.
The music is rocking loud.
It's clean and the service is, well....east coast, they take your order, give you your pizza.

You gotta sift through the industrial area to get to this waterfront ambience but it's worth it. After waiting at the the train tracks for the train to pass at at 7:30 on a Saturday, we made our reservation 10 mins. late.
It's a Marina! WOW!
The wait staff came in droves assisting but not intruding. You can tell that they are all about teamwork at Johnny's!
Seafood is their specialty but I had steak with Johnny's seasoning, of course.
The cocktails are strong and wine glasses small. Dinner was moderate-high in the price range...but worth it.
Johnny's is a perfect balance of ambience and sensory delight...and the location gives Tacoma a BIG city feel.

The Daily Grind is located on Capitol Way north of the Capitol Building. The coffee is great and comes with personable service. I've been there three times and now they call me by name. Yeah, I know that's a good business practice but I have never been called by name at Starbuck's, which is just down the street. I had frequented Starbucks often prior to discovering this local coffee house. Prices on their food is excellent, and they really serve up!
