Small town independent bookshop. They thrive on their customer service. The clerks are knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They carry a large selection of local books, both subject matter and author. Unfortunately, the prices are a bit higher than a chain store, but it is worth it to support the local economy.

The Buffet is piping hot and waiting for you. The dinner buffet has more to offer than the lunch, but they are both great deals. Chicken fingers, spare ribs, sweet-n-sour chicken, beef dishes, rice, soup, fresh donuts, egg rolls, a salad bar, spicy and mild, worth the trip. The service is outstanding, as the waitstaff is quick to refill a soda or clear a dish.

Pleasure is such a simple thing. The Dairy Creme is open seasonally, and must do a great business based on the crowds that are there on every sunny day. The location by the river makes it a quiet place to enjoy a treat. Locals and tourists alike enjoy the Cremes. And the prices are low enough you can afford one for the entire family, or office. Move your meetings outside. But, be warned, the small is a medium anywhere else. The medium is an elsewhere. The large is too large to balance on a cone for very long!

Like most Salvation Army stores, you have to both be willing to look through the store, and get a little lucky, and treasures will await you! Some things are always plentiful - clothes, especially kids, can be found in decent condition for very cheap prices. Adult clothes racks are always full too. It's the miscellaneous stuff that always interests me. It is a fairly small store, so things get hidden in crevices, look well, and be patient.

Cheap Kids, which has been in town for years has expanded. The downstairs is packed with bargains, as is the upstairs. They now have adult selections as well, but the best bargains are for the kids. How often does your child wear that Halloween costume? Maybe twice, if you are lucky. Bring it here, sell it through the store, and pick out this years costume while you are in there.
Prices are realistic.

Here is this little shop, tucked in on Main Street. I drove past it for years, even though I love Chinese food, until a friend told me how good it was. Wow! was she right. The food was obviously fresh, and beautifully prepared and presented. Prices are reasonable, food tastes great, the wait is a bit long, but for made to order chinese, I can tolerate a wait.

They have a mechanic on duty almost all the time. They take pride in their work, and in the station. Clean, friendly. Nice, trustworthy mechanic, what more can you ask for?

For those of us who want to upgrade our cars, auto starters to stay warm on cold winter days, new stereo systems, car alarms, roof racks and more. You can buy an automatic car starter elsewhere, and one of the first instructions is to connect it to the starter ... nope, not me, too much could go wrong and it voids the factory warranty. Yipes installed my car starter, and as it voided the factory warranty, they offer their own, for life. I've never had a problem with the starter, and it has been almost 4 years. Makes it much easier in the mornings.
